While it is easy to get all “Daily Mail” over this, there is maybe a simpler explanation. Collections at stores need to be booked in advance. Did they do that?
Also I found this
“In the year ended February 2011, the Tesco Charity Trust made cash grants of £1,929,600 to local, national and international charities”Not too bad I would say.
Still, carry on with the ranting if you want….
I’d give my left foot to see that almost £2m itemised, with receipts!
If it is correct, then what hypocritical *******s! So if it’s not a charity they support, they rob from you!
As said by others, completely disgusting, considering their profits.
To the few, never too far away from my thoughts.
They change on a frequent basis, as my interests rotate, but these last few weeks:
Ubisoft IL2 Sturmovik forums (this has actually been a regular for years now, nearly 7000 posts since 2005).
AVforums (photo sharing and classifieds)
ww2aircraft.net forums (more lurking than posting)
IndieTalk.com forums

Sorry to break the rules so early on. These are my favourite internet haunts, but also spend alot of time on flickr, triggerstreet, imdb, and GTplanet. I’m one of the only people I know who doesn’t regularly visit a news source. I don’t know how I keep up with the world, but somehow I do (don’t read newspapers either). Can anyone recommend a decent place to read world as well as London/UK news, without having to endure a painful spin in the writers favour?
p.s. one of the reasons I love pprune (and aarse etc.) is that you read the truth behind the news. Great places.

Breathtaking photos. Also a bit heartbreaking/humbling. Thanks for sharing.
Not terrible by a mile, my favourite is 3 and 8. Great shot of the Vampires.
Thanks for the reply. It was indeed a grubby day. Sorry to hear it was practically ruined for you and yours.
I am most definitely on the hunt for a new lens. I was previously looking at a 55-250mm IS lens, but if you say the 70-210 is almost L series in quality, I may be willing to sacrafice the extra few feet in zoom ability. It’s also a bit cheaper by the looks of it, so thanks for that!
And thanks for looking.
Let’s do it.
