The worrying thing to me is a film such as The Battle of Britain* gave vintage warbirds a jump start, could all the CGI now used spell the end of real aircraft flying in films? I hope not.
It could have the opposite effect. An increase in interest could lead to MORE of the real things being restored – i could care less if they’re used in a film, i’d rather they were at an airfield displaying – and preferably near me!
My opinion is, i’m surprised this got made at all, with the, putting it lightly, lack of interest in this era from young people today (I say that as if i’m old, i’m only 23, which means i’m in touch enough to know this about ‘young’ people).
I’ll definitely be seeing it, if anything to compare it to the original movie. However, it concerns me that the film will be full of ‘symbolism’ to somehow relate to todays political and social issues (as in Avatar). I hope that isn’t the case, and they’ve stuck to the historical proceedings.
Magical! Thank you so much for sharing.
Love them all! Looks like a fantastic time! Beautiful skies.
Pretty clever those Douglas engineers of 70 years ago….:D
:D:cool:
A death is a death and loss to someone no matter what the circumstances.
Exactly, to someone, in this instance it’s irrelevant to most of us.

They’re brilliant!
She has a few catchy songs, nothing game-changing like those created by the members of the club she’s now joined.
As has been said, i’m sorry for her friends and family (I’ve actually met her boyfriend, my girlfriends Dad makes suits for him). But i’m not surprised, and I have no sympathy for someone with no morals, no self control and no sense of responsibility, to herself or to others.

Great videos you have there by the way.
Thanks, Flatcat. 🙂
My English is very good, I got B/B in Lit/Language, and D@A-level. You’re right, I will maybe need those anyway one day. I think I might be entitled to some sort of adult learning grant from the college, will have to look into it.

You really need to try and talk to people that are doing the same job as you want to do in the respective services at the moment.
You’re right. What I really want to know is – will I have the opportunity to train on the new kit once it’s entered service – i’ve always been more interested in fixed-wing over rotary. A trip to the Careers Office is in order, Monday is the first opportunity. I’ll let you know what they say.

Literally any advice or input is appreciated – i’m racking my brains here, just can’t decide what to do – very unlike me.
