It’s odd what you remember. Portcelli is little remembered in the US, but my English sister-in-law mentioned the brick laying part awhile back when we accidentally came across an episode on cable.

Yesterday I was in Tuscon (where the series was set)and I recalled her wondering if he ever finished the house (and it was the house he was building, not just the chimney since most homes there were built Adobe style).

    Don’t forget the human spray

    & the four hundred children

There were so many daft things that kept people listening to Wogan, from his original show you had people like Mangie Bendytoy (Barrie Manilow), the captain & toenail, his obsession with road cones, petrocelli’s chimney & many other daft things that his TOG’s will never forget.

    Well said John.
I’ll miss the chap his radio breakfast show was legendary, back when him & the late Ray Moore bantered before program change over.

A thread for people to pay tribute to Terry is NOT the place to talk about Mr Bloody Saville, get your priorities right alan.

Bad idea to mention this as it is still a sensitive topic in the Muslim world.

I think even celebrities would have more respect for the remains than those childish idiots.

It was all still there until very recently even the fuel tanks & inside the intake pump house the wall was covered with graffiti by bored servicemen.
