The 2nd pic looks very 1940ish. Very nice. Nice pics all round.

Brilliant shots there martin I see there is 10 Red Arrows did one fly off or did it land? Like the Dutch SAR Griffin and the Hunter what spitfire is that flying with it?
JAmes
Thanks James.
All ten of the Red Arrows landed. Displayed later then back in to land then all departed approx mid way through the show.
The Spitfire Vb is operated by the Historic Aircraft Collection at Duxford.

Hi,
I liked your pictures of the Dunsfold Airshow, way better than mine. What camera/lens do you use? I currently borrow a Canon 350d and a Sigma 18-200mm lens which I find a little soft sometimes. I am looking to get my own camera (Canon 40d and a 100-400 IS lens probably) though any suggestions are most welcome.
I was wondering if you (or anyone else) had any of the plane I landed in, a PA28 G-JJAN ? (Landed at 10:28 and departed 6:25 pm)
Thanks,
Ashley
I agree withn Jen. The 30D and 100-400IS lens is a very god combination. That is what I use.
Please note in my Beachy Head thread the solo Spits and Hurri pics are cropped anywhere between 40 to 50 per cent. The Jumbo you would have got full frame at 100mm when in front of you.
The 40D is suppose to be better with more responsive, better locking outo focus and improved image quality. However, new cameras have a habit of coming with electronic bug so I would wait six months before purchasing one.
Sorry, I did not get a pic of G-JJAN. Well done Jen:)
Nice geese shots.
Using my imagination a bit it looks like Christian Moullec and geese are on migration.

I will only post three more pics on this thread.

Thanks Jen and thank you Septic.
I took my last photo at the airfield at 7.31pm of a an airliner passing by. I left about 10 to 15 minutes after that.
Hi Septic
More very nice pics.
Unless I am mistaken, Melvyn does not have a red Beaver.

Hi Jen
Super pics. The Hunter/Spit due image is the best I have seen in any forum.:)

The 40D was announced on 20 August 2007 and available in October 2007. 30D stocks are probably clearing quite fast and prices going down.

It was the same with he P40 both Friday and Saturday. Both way out at sea but took a few pics of them.

Stunning photos Jen! I assume you were firmly tied down as it was damned windy up there!
Did anyone get any shots of the BBMF Spitfire doing it’s low passes over the Warren Hill(?) and Beachy Head spectator car parks up near Beachy Head on Saturday? It nearly took the roof of a few cars each time ot flew over as it was in the hold waiting for the BBMF Hurricane to complete it’s slot.

The Hurricane was doing the same thing on Friday. Would love to have been in the car park both times but it is steep run to get up and down again.
