Your comment does not change fact that number of F-22 in USA service is pure American problem and not problem of entire international community that is contributing to this forum and it has nothing to do with air to air combat tactics but only with internal USA politics.

Could not care less about number of F-22 in USA service…I am not American so that is your problem. My question is about changes in combat tactics when Stealth goes against Stealth.

Aside from oil, why does it matter what the Mid-East thinks of American foreign policy.

Arabs don’t seem to like outside influence anyway so why should we care what they think about our support for Israel.

I’m not Jewish, and I’m a Christian, though not hardcore in any form or fashion, but I can say this with a lot of pride…I fully support Israel and their struggle.

They are surrounded by nothing but pure hate on all of their borders.
They’ve been constantly harassed since the formation of their country, and people of the Jewish faith have been mistreated for decades. The Jewish certainly aren’t the only group to suffer as all groups on Earth have at one time or another suffered greatly, so don’t throw that on me because I know somebody will. I haven’t met a single Jewish person that thinks they are better than or above anyone else like many people on this forum seem to think. They are fighting for their survival today just as during WWII and every SINGLE DECADE of their existence as the state of Israel even today.

I just have no sympathy for countries and people that support terrorist operations, and that’s exactly what Syria and the Palestinians do. In the end, they started all of this, and as sferrin said…..the Israelis will finish it. Anyone who is foolish enough to get in their way will be dealt with….

You may call me evil and a war mongerer or whatever else you wish, but I truly don’t care. I’m sick of the Middle East and their constant hatred, I’m sick of the Israelis always living in fear from insurgents and suicide bombers, and I couldn’t be happier that they are taking a stand to deal with this. It’s been long in the making.

Civilians are killed by both sides, but the primary difference is that the Israelis don’t specifically target civilians while the terrorists do.

Even if Israel moved out of the Gaza Strip and the West Bank completely do you think it would stop terrorist attacks on their country? No. That’s because all Arabs, or at least the more vocal ones, want the complete annihilation of Israel. Pullout after pullout has been done in the past, and where has it gotten Israel? No where. The terrorists don’t care….they will continue their attacks no matter what the Israelis do, no matter what concessions they make, and countries like Syria and Iran and groups like Hezbollah will always support them because those I just mentioned are full of hate. As such, I see the Israeli side in this, and I consider what they are doing a self defense measure. I’m in the USAF, and if I could transfer to the IDF/AF, I’d give strong consideration to doing so because I’m sick and tired of this whole terrorist situation. I’m too young to have seen the things that terrorists have done in the past, and they’ve always been around, but as I’ve gotten older, with events like 9/11, the U.S.S. Cole, the London bombings, the recent bombings in India, etc. it has given me a new passion to fight to end the existance of any terrorist anywhere. So obviously I fully support Israel.

I hope they keep up the pressure, and I almost wish Syria would try something so I could see recon photos of Syrian air bases with large craters in the runways. It’s the least they deserve for their support of terrorist organizations such as Hezbollah and Hamas.

I hope the Palestinian people will come to realize that having Hamas in power automatically makes them illegitimate. I hope they get rid of those idiots and get someone in there who can help come to an agreement with the Israelis.

The Israelis don’t negotiate with terrorists, and they shouldn’t.

    So keep those F-16’s flying….whatever it takes….

I agree with you 100%…it is time to finish that Middle Eastern nonsense.

I have to agree with you Djink that G-4MD could be most exciting program for SAF and Serbian aerospace industry. Not only that SAF would get very capable advance trainer but also very potent ground attack aircraft with laser guided bombs and IR and TV guided air to ground missiles and with new production run they could stay in service well after 2020 plus some money could be made from the export orders.

Air Force roadmap present – 2010

    – No later than 2010 MiG-21’s are going in to retirement .I wonder what will happen with MiG-21bisR? If MiG-21R is also retired than there will be no other option but to use IJ-22 but they lack speed and their ceiling is much lower compared to MiG-21bisR.My opinion is that MiG-21bisR should stay in the service.
    – Mi-8 and An-26 will be overhauled so that Air Force retains minimum transport capability
    – Remaining MiG-29 will be overhauled ($10 USD) but from what I can see there will be no additional purchase of MiG-29 in order to form full squadron (eskadrila) so from 2010 Serbian skies will be protected by 5 Mi-29.Question is – is that sufficient, will it be possible to have enough serviceable fighters on the alert duties (at least 2 with 1 as reserve)?
    – KUB SAM (SA-6) will continue with its modernization (Night TV camera plus radio command guidance)
    – Lasta 95 basic trainer development will continue but in service date is still ot published (sometimes after 2010?)

    Air Force roadmap 2010 – 2015

    – Sometimes after 2010 new Air Force Command Centre will be introduced. Does it mean that AS-84 will be scraped or are we going to see further evolution of the system?
    – New transport airplane will be introduced. C-130?
    – New combat and transport helicopter – I think in this instance that SAF will introduce Eurocopter but in my opinion it will be much more cost effective to go with Mi-17 ( with all trimmings) and that will provide decent transport/combat helicopter. For support role I think that SAF should go with either Ka-52 or Mi-28
    – Medium range SAM will most likely come from Russia (BUK-M) but in my opinion SAF will be much better of with missiles that have active radar homing device in stead of semi active / command guidance missiles like one found used by BUK missile complex. For example Norwegian NASAMS would be good option because it will provide fire and forget capability thus increasing system survivability and resistance to anti radiation missiles like H-31 and AGM-88.
    – It looks that G-4 will stay in service until 2020. It would be nice to restart production sometimes after 2010 so that new airframes can be introduced in the service (and potential exports should not be overlooked) As is seem during 2010 – 2015 current airframes will be modernized .I think that same modernization should be implemented as proposed to Lybian government (new HUD, HDD, FLIR, laser designator pod, LGB-250 and wingtip mounted Air to Air IR missiles) http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b360/pomkomGRB/92b78216.jpg , http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b360/pomkomGRB/2.jpg , http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b360/pomkomGRB/1.jpg , http://plandor.free.fr/rvipvo/msa.jpg , http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b360/pomkomGRB/38e9ba58.jpg , http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b360/pomkomGRB/3.jpg , http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b360/pomkomGRB/51de3380.jpg , http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b360/pomkomGRB/ecc8eeab.jpg ,
    – New multirole fighter will be introduced in the service and in my opinion by far the best option will be JAS-39 although Eurofighter would be very good option but I think that price of it is too high for SAF

    – Introduction of new transport and combat helicopter
    – Introduction of new medium range SAM system
    – Modernization of current “in service” aircrafts that will stay in service beyond 2015
    – Introduction of Search and Rescue systems

    – 2007 – 10% of military budget will go for modernization

    – 2010 – 12 %

    – 2015 – 20%

    – Expected defense budget in 2010 will be 2.4% of gross domestic product

    – Above financial figures have been produced by Serbian Ministry of Finance

Current projects that will be actively pursued until 2010

    – Lasta 95 , piston powered aircraft for basic pilot training
    – Self-propelled howitzers (122mm and 155mm)
    – M21 infantryman equipment program (introduction starts in 2007)
    – Computer network within Air Defense system
    – Modernization of “Neva” SAM guidance system (targeting radar and so on)
    – Research and development of TV and IR missile guidance systems
    – Research and development in rocketry and ballistics
    – MoD has created group for military cooperation with Israel
    – Most likely from Israel will come communication equipment, command and information systems (in stead of satellite)
    – There will be limited modernization of M84 main battle tank (communication equipment, fire control system)

Unfortenutely nothing in this world comes for free.Everyone should know that.

Of course nothing comes for free , especially from Americans. For example UK has been paying WWII debt up until year or so ago,and USA and UK are suppose to be some great allies .If you analyze above peace of news inevitable question is -what is a reason for Serbian MoD to send ground crew for maintenance and logistics training if there is no plan for them to maintain something ?Same goes for pilots .Are they going to train to fly MiG-29 in the USA or something that will be introduced in to service sometimes in the future. MiG-21 is going out of service by 2010 (except MiG-21bisR) so even if MiG-29 remains in the service that would mean that Serbia should purchase extra , approximately, 22 new airframes in order to maintain two operational squadrons . I do not believe for a second that Serbia will spend that kind of money on something (MiG-29) that will have to go out of service by 2015.More logical course of action is for Serbia to overhaul remaining 5 airframes and purchase further 6-7 to equip one squadron ,and than in the mean time equip second squadron with western airframes .( 2-3 airframes per year )
