R.A.F Vc-10s are named after Victoria Cross winners IRC.
Some aircraft registrations are the initials of directors or a pilot 😉
Do you know what film?
It was for an ITV show with Ross Kemp (Grant Mitchell) called Ultimate Force. Think he plays an SAS (not the airline 😀 ) guy in it.

Personally i sat along a road running parallel to one of the runways. Can’t remember the name of the road but sorry
I recall ATA and Canada 3000 used 757’s tansatlantic from BFS. Think when an aircraft went tech there may have been a 727 used once but im not sure.
There will be 2 flights a day to Nice. Dunno if both started today but there will be one morning and one evening flight.
Re. Barcelona, doubt Iberia will start a BFS route but i do hope to see a New York service return soon
Nice pics! This could become a similar sight at EGAA if todays Irish News is anything to go by. Continental in talks about begining flights next year apparently 🙂
Iberia have used the A340-600 on Madrid-Tenerife

My oul boy makes a living out of flying the real thing. Must show him this

Wow what a response, thanks guys. I think the one I saw at Gatwick was ML407.
Why was it at Gatwick? there was a TV programme (cant remember which) at the time that had a competition, the prize being a trip in a Spitfire, I just happened to be there that day when the winner of the comp got his tripDave.
Hi all. First time poster:)
You’re spot on Dave. It was ML407. We have the programme recorded on cassette here in the house and when I read your post it sounded familiar. It was for a programme called Airport 90 which ran for a weekend live from Gatwick. The Spitfire was flown by Peter ? I couldnt make out the last name sorry.
Hope I’ve been of some use:)
