And which land routes would cover the Belfast to London route? Shall we build another titanic?

Points out the ridiculousness of it exactly. Just give up on the stupid idea now. There are some idiots in the world who engage mouth before brain and Mr Yeo is another example of this. Scaremongering the lot of it

If it does happen i’ll gladly let the Iraqi government decapatate me in 20 years 😉

No i wouldnt describe that to be a long time at an airport the size of Dublin.

Id say a ridiculous amount of time for the offload of a domestic or inter-eurpean flight is from 45mins to an hour to offload 160-200 bags. Anything under that i wouldnt complain. If i was on a short domestic flight of half an hour forty mins and have to wait the same time for my bags yes id be peeved.

Delivery times to the reclaim area can be a bit hit and miss depending on many factors. Many passengers who complain often dont understand the logistics of it all. Yes more men could be thrown at the offload but would that be financially feasible to the handling company to have an excess of staff to offload bags when the airlines pay the bear minimum these days for this service.

Generally pax dont notice how long in takes for their bags. Once they have cleared immigration, done the standard run to the toilet, rang family/friends to say they’ve arrived time suitably passes until the first bag arrives on the belt and then spend the next period of time bag spotting and such dont really notice what times past.

17 and 25mins isnt really long enough to justify finding someone and complaining to them. By the time they’ve done all that they’ll find they’re luggage has already arrived and been going round the belt for a few mins whilst they’ve been complaining. Id be pleased if it took that long.

Congratulations. Its a fantastic painting you must be very proud to have it based on your pic. Hopefully you’ll be around to take a picture of the departure of the Belfast in the background whenever it gets going again!

Yes this does happen however usually passengers are made aware by the crew this has happened. Reason behind majority of the passengers bags being removed from the holds of the aircraft prior to your departure are usually the performance of the aircraft. I have had a whole flight of bags left behind at airports due to the aircraft being unable to depart with such a large weight depending on the aircrafts performance or runways in use.

If its the case that your bags havent made it to the aircraft in time could be airport baggage belts breaking down or loaders simply not loading them but im guessing from what you said your baggage was already loaded then offloaded due to the first reason above.

As for compensation again depends on airline. Generally if you arrive and your luggage hasnt came with you your entitled to spend a certain amount of money per day if the bag is missing for over 24 hours. Again compensation depends on what airline you travelled.

    Which airline was it?

Before the CO rescheduled to arriving later into BFS the flight originated in MIA so MIA-EWR-BFS. Doubt thats the case now 🙂

MYT DUB this year is a G- reg Airbus not a Skyservice one.

Edit: First couple of weeks maybe Canadian but then it should revert to G- reg MYT aircraft
