    Liberty Belle Crew

    Barracuda FAA,
As far as i know they are just a bunch of guys who come together at shows and recreate a B-17 crew, they are not a group as such.
I was also there in RAF flying kit with OPS 39-45 who were recreating a ww2 RAF Bomber Briefing in the Concorde room.
If anyone has any pics of me and any of the group on the flightline that they would be prepared to share please contact me,thanks.

    E.A.Mould

    What Ho old man,
I have found this gen on Sgt. Mould in ‘Men of the Battle of Britain’ by Kenneth Wynn.
“On July 8th Mould damaged a Bf109 of JG51,which made a forced landing on Bladbean Hill,Elham,Kent, the first German fighter shot down over Great Britain in the war.”
    Mould was killed on Jan.20th 1943 as a Flying Officer with 85 Squadron,aged 26.
    Hope this helps

How on earth anyone could put up with wearing that heavy clothing all morning in that heat beats me! I certainly appreciated their efforts though, gave a nice period feel, and improved the flightline walk no end from a photographic point of view.

Anyone able to give me a name for the group that organises these costumes?

    thanks

    Gareth

    Hi Gareth,
I am a member of this group and it is called ‘OPS 1939-45’ a WW2 RAF Living History Group,i think the show is Flying Legends.
All the uniforms etc are owned by the members themselves,do you have anymore pics of RAF chaps that you could e-mail to me?.
We are looking into getting some extra publicity for our group in various magazines so any pics would be much appreciated(with owners permission obviously).
    Thanks
    Howard.
