UFO’s without some aliens will be incomplete ….
😀
I passed that second fellow on my way home last night……… 😮 😎
Please can you post some data about turning rates of both. The F-1 is out of service and the lobby may have given some data to compare the performances?!
I trust that we are talking sustained turn rate. Obviously, due to wing planform efficiency, the Mirage F1 is slightly better – M0.9/15,000 ft/Max A/B, clean config or 2 x A/A missiles. Cheetah is in the region of 8 to 9 deg/sec and the F1 about 9 – 10 deg/sec.
Comores AF ?…….new one for me !
Surely my SF260WE firing it’s rockets has to be “the best pic” !
*he suggests modestly* 🙂
Very nice but not a Gennet, ie Rhodesian !
Self-serving, two-faced hypocritical politicians.

Finally, pretty rare shot of Zimbabwean turbine version
VERY NICE ! 🙂
Armed Rhodesian Gennet 🙂 😀
I guess Starsign is the winner………….. 😀 😉
Very nice, thank you!
Ceetah kept and F-1 phased out]
.
The reason for the Cheetah being kept was more to do with more airframes and longer life of those airframes, together with better onboard equipment. There was a very strong lobby to keep the F1 because of its performance!
Here it is a bit better for you 🙂
Rhodesian (Zimbabwe AF) SF.260C trainer and SF.260W attackers
Thanks Flex, but the prize goes to those showing “armed” Genet’s………….. 😀
Not very good quality I’m afraid, but here is a picture of the Rhodesian Genet.
I can’t remember all the details but she is sitting up a pole somewhere!
If nobody else has posted, I’ll get back to you on this……..
The Rhodesian AF used both the SF260C and the SF260W. Some of the SF260C’s went later to the Burma AF. The SF260C was unarmed and the SF260W was armed with two FN 7.62mm machine guns or 37mm rocket launchers. The Rhodesians called it the Genet and it was used to replace the Percival T52 Provost. Apart from training, it was used extensively for protecting road convoys.
Some more…………
Actually, you posted, I responded in kind. Now you’re iritated…who is it here who can dish it out but can’t take it? 😀
Not irritated at all old boy…………..would you like some cream with yours? 😮
I’m always in the drink up in Norfolk, so I’m game……….
Nowt wrong with Sean’s response. Asking if he can use the Sex Pistols version of the anthem seems like a perfectly legitimate request to me. 😀
Nothing wrong with that at all, it is the boring part above and below that I’m refering to…………..
