Whilst technical failure was rejected, from video footage, it certainly appears that the aircraft suffered a compressor stall on the port side during a tight left turn which torqued the aircraft around, nose-down. This followed by strong positive pitch input during recovery which over-rotated the aircraft. Basically, they had insufficient height to recover from an engine stall, if this is what occured.
