Hi Justin, do you have any contact details? Please let me know. Kind regards Samuel.
I’ve sold several not to long back, if it’s good and flyable then £2000-2500. If it’s not usable then £1000-1500 if it has history. (Prices in pound sterling Dave so you’ll have to convert to AUS dollars) Hope that helps. Regards Sam.
Thank you for the suggestion I’ll go take a look at some varsity pictures! Regards Sam.
Hi Alan, the 2 chest harnesses you have are Observer types, they should normally be labelled or stamped across the cross straps at the back or the horizontal back strap. As for the stores reference numbers the harness itself should be 15A/137 and as you say the packs are 15A/141. The second harness you have is marked GQ I can see the ink stamps so there should be more on it somewhere, these harnesses were made by alot of companies the most common being Irvin, GQ and GT&L. These were used by RAF bomber crews mainly, from just before the war upto the 60s as used in Shackleton’s. The pack type C mk2 is a post war pack but of the same build as the wartime 15/141 packs. As for values I will happily send you a private message regarding the harnesses and packs separately should you wish! But you definitely have some valuable harnesses there! Hope that helps, regards Sam.

KG12E grip
Hi all, I’ve had this KG12E grip a while now and it’s always been missing the electrical cover, does anyone out there know where I could find a replacement/reproduction or original cover? It would be greatly appreciated, and I thank you for any leads in advance, and feel free to PM me with any details. Thanks, regards Sam.
Again, thanks for your help and knowledge Bruce, youre very helpful. At least I know a bit more about my valve.
Regards Sam.
Hi Bruce,
Thanks very much for your reply, I was just wondering as I have another very similar valve that works the same, but is made by Dunlop. As it has an “AH” number, but didn’t see one on my spitfire valve, just the 300 numbers. On the lever it is stamped 34959 would I be right in saying the first three digits means it could be from a mark 5 spitfire?
Regards Sam.
ok, well thank you for your help. Sam
thanks to another forum member i have managed to to source some 10inch wheels, but still looking for any hurricane undercarriage legs and also any used 10inch tyres, please pm me if you have anything of interest. thanks Lance
well i think a good place to start would be to get some pilots notes, for different marks of hurricane and work from there.
regards Sam
hi there, the hurricane panel shown is an exact copy of one purchased some years ago now at tangmere aerojumble and lance has just copied it, admittantly yes, i dont think the triple brake was mounted on the panel, and that should be where the automatic boost control button should be, and again yes the edges are flat and not curved, but to do this, and reproduce it accurately many times would be quite hard, so we choose not to, and it doesnt really detract from the look, and for what people want its ok. as for the corkeaero website, you can see it is quite old and outdated and lance doenst use that anymore, so therefore the prices are outdated, and if you could get replica hurricane panels with all the instruments/switches in for £995, id like to hear from you! regards S Corke
hi there, this is Sam! i dont wish to advertise on here as its not allowed, but yes that hurricane panel on ebay currently is mine, and we do “empty” ones. will send you a private message TEC.

mk2l gunsight
yep ive had these before aswell, but these are also a bit of a rarity only a few were ever made as a tester for the actual mk3 gunsight which went into full production like the one i sold you. these were developed by W/C Beaumont for the rocket version Typhoon, and was then superseeded by the actual mk3. i think these were designated the mk2L. so fitted to early typhoons hence the early 41 date.hope this helps.
