Great stuff DJ, I see you got a Ryanair with lots of spray going off of the Short runway. That’s a cracker.

    Fred.

Thanks Fred, a fairly unusual event as you know.

Please tell me that AN-225 wasn’t there on the day you posted this thread?

I would of soo much liked to go visit it! I’m devastated.

It was the end of October IIRC.

Some very nice pics there Stuart and good directions. And additionally here’s the website (with directions/arial views etc) of local photographer Luis Rosa who’s pics you may have seen on the TV’s in the terminal while waiting for your flight home –

Very nice Tony, I’m a big fan of trying something different myself and it’s worked well for you here, just because it’s dark and dull doesn’t mean you can’t get some good shots,

Photo of the week is actually chosen by the owner, Chris Kilroy. ‘Top 2 of Yesterday’ and ‘Top 2 of Week’ are chosen by views.

    HTH,
    Sam

Can I throw my tuppenceworth in here? I quite surprisingly got one of my shots as “Photo Of The Week”

    http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd11/DJ17DJ/key1.jpg

I didn’t think it was worthy of that title then and I still don’t now, it’s fairly interesting and from an unusual angle but not that good IMO, but it’s chosen at the time of acceptance as “Photo Of The Week” so I assumed at the time that it was one of the Head Screeners or indeed Chris Kilroy himself that screened it, and well, liked it.

(Edited to remove the link – I don’t want anyone thinking I’m fishing for “hits” 😮 )

aaaaah, gravelly point..a place i have come to know and love! good to see some more shots from DCA, i really should get myself down there again. it’s my new “local”, and an awesome airport. where did you get the awesome frontier shot from? was it in the sterile area or in the main terminal with the large windows?

All great shots, liking the busy-ness of EWR. when i went i found it very hard to get good shots from the airtrain.

    Sam

The Frontier shot was from the main terminal area Sam,
