I agree, that last one is very good!
A first class shot,
Very nice E-GPK, the BMI A330 is excellent, I like the angry looking clouds in the background.

Nice selection and always nice to see an Electra,
Talking of which, did you get the AN72 today mate?
Nope 🙁 There was also another Air Atlanta 747 in but it was twilight and I couldn’t hang around long enough to get the night shot 🙁
You’ve managed to give a good impression of the range of stuff that passes through PIK when I’m not there.
You can’t beat PIK for variety, only thing is especially these days is you just don’t really know when it’ll appear 🙁
Nice shots Dj.
The US Airways 752, could you tell me where that was taken from.
Raymy
It’s parked on one of the new Stands, 37 and 38 I think they are, and I took the shot through the fence next to the Loganair admin building.
The ‘German’ aircraft is a Noralpha 1101, which is a french built version of the Me208.
It sat out in the open, rotting away, at Prestwick for about 14 years until it was bought by Jim Hardie in the early 90’s. Over the years he has restored it, and it flew again earlier this year.
Ken
ps lovely shots
This one –
I took that shot circa 1978-1980.
Very nice, is that EZY A319 from Spain, I thought they always used the lo-co pier?
Great shots DJ 🙂
Any joy with the EK 747?
Brilliant shots from are sister airport 😀 Is that MK 747 Storage ? Whats the German plane?
James
The ‘MK’ 747 was an ex Polar Air Cargo aircraft which was painted up in MK c/s for an excercise, the German plane I’m not sure, an Me something or other, I think
Very nice, that Atlas 747 could do with a paint job mind 🙂
Beautiful shots, welcome to the forum. I hope to be able to try some more long exposures myself at NEMA.
What shutter speeds did you use for the two departure trail shots?
81 seconds for the Dreamliner and 100 seconds for the ‘VP’ reg’d 737-200,
Great shots DJ.
Love the Twotter with trails.
Thanks Tony, first time I’ve been to GLA for night shots and there were no hassles at all, a Loganair crew even stopped for a chat,
