I’m not entirely convinced anything should be wearing off the shutter! I bought both my 350D and my 30D new, and straight out of the box the 350D’s sensor was totally clean. Not a single speck of dust or anything else anywhere. My 30D, however, was completely covered in crap! How can one new camera body be so clean and another, more expensive one be so disgustingly dirty?

Strangely it seems to be a problem many people have had with brand new 30D’s. There are many stories from people in Canon forums who’ve had the same experience. Also many stories of people who’ve sent their camera back to Canon to be cleaned, only to have it returned in an even worse state.

Come on, Canon. Get your act cleaned up!

It doesn’t seem to be common knowledge but you get 1 free sensor clean with every new Canon DSLR, up here in Scotland a company called Johnsons in Glasgow do it, otherwise it’s £37.50.

Nice shots Kevin, especially from the north side at that time during the day. Sometimes dull overcast weather has it’s advantages in summer at GLA, you wouldn’t get such excellent results if the sun was out from that position.

Interesting selection there Peter, wonder why the S76 didn’t use the Heliport, there’s a lot of gravel there which I doubt does the paintwork much good on start up in the car park where it’s landed?

Where were you to shoot the GirJet Fokker?? i was looking around for a place to shoot it, ended up up at the Quarry road hill, but shot was mince. Also the Air One and Corsair shot..where was that?
Also, nice Dash 8 “Deroe”.. a new airline??:D 😀
Great stuff.

Some excellent pics there. The Fokker looks like it was shot from a small ‘farm track’ that leads to the peri fence, first left after the farm on Turnhouse Road, don’t go down the farm road though, the natives aren’t friendly and it’s blocked anyway.
