yesterday on the 31st the RDAF had the honour of flying the last NATO fighter mission over Libya. Two F-16s flew mission number 600. So alltogether more than 1200 sorties were performed by the 4 F-16s (+plus 2 reserves) and 923 precission bombs were dropped. 344 persons of the RDAF constituted the Sigonella detechment.
Here is a photo taken on the last mission.

I am sorry but “pakho” had NO IDEA about what he is talking about concerning missions, sorties etc. His figures are almost totally wrong!!!!

The RDAF (the Danish Air Force) has so far flown 110 missions which probably equals 220 sorties and dropped 227 prec. bombs. The RDAF has a total of 2 (two) fighter squadrons to draw from. And by the way Denmark ALSO has a large force in Afghanisten were it fights together with the UK Army. The RDAF was among the first forces to be ready for Libya 24 hours after it was asked. It also had helicopters in Iraq and still participates in the Kosovo force. The real culprit is Germany with 300.000 men under arms it is barely capable of sustaining 3500 men in Afghanistan. I wonder who the enemy for Germany is, Poland, Denmark, France or the good old UK.

I published an article documenting every aircraft ever made in Denmark in the German Magasine “Fliegerrevue Extra no.26 in 2009. Even when it is in German the tables are understandable for an english speaker. I personally think it is the final work on the subject. There is a photograph of almost every military aircraft on my website: http://www.ole-nikolajsen.com (google has put a warning on it, but it has been declared safe by several scans – (damn Google πŸ™ ) I have a photo of almost all the KZ’s!
