the Turkish Mi-2 is civilian and belongs to the helicopter ambulance company “Red Star”.
There is quite some info on the ACIG forum about this shoot down. Alarge article apeared in the now defunct Turkish magasine KANATLAR with photos etc. It is NOT a rumour , but a fact!
I guess that if Norway can do that with 4 squadrons Denmark could do it with half a squadron!
Denmark will (and should) discuss whether it would be more useful for its worldwide commitment to invest in attack helicopters. It sounds realistic to me. Why don’t Europe (EU) have a force of fighters and attack planes on a regional organisation (like Sweden 2 sqds etc. that would make a force of more than 40 squadrons, this to me would be sufficient for the future!)
The Turkish Air Force was a major user (even shot down 2 Iraqi Il-28s with them!) click here for a selection of photographs.

Just a small correction: The Zimbabwe AF don’t fly Skyvans but Islander and the transports on the picture looks like Islanders.
The PT-17 Stearman trainers in the Mexican Air Force must come close!

A DC-9 pilot is at the holding point for take-off and another jet is on 5nm final. The female tower controller ask “DC-9 are you ready for a fast one?” The pilot answers: “Yes, mam, but unfortunately I have to go to Berlin first!”
