I originally thought it was something to do with the Ducati Monster (but they only make that in 600, 900 and now 1000cc’s).
Lyndon – Tourjet can’t have been exclusively long haul as there is a 757 video from MAN to Dalaman where they used the Tourjet callsign.
There were a few warranty issues with the 330’s.
So it was a 340-600 after all!
Slim possibility but the Americans do like to do this quite a lot.
If I were you I’d try to sit at the front of the main deck as the narrowing of the fuselage towards the nose gives you a slightly forward view.
Not such a problem on a turboprop. Tail mounted jet engines such as the F100 are plenty capable of throwing up enough FOD to damage an engine.
Seeing as they currently seem to always have a pair of 300’s parked up at gatters I should think it would be one of those.

A fantastic technique for increasing maintenance requirements by blowing stones, etc into the intakes. It only seems to be done by jets in America.
The answer to this is consumer led.
One of the biggest problems with European airspace is that we don’t use the FAA system of making the transition to Flight Levels at 18000′. In Turkey you frequently fly surrounded by 10000′ terrain with a Transition Altitude of 3000′. Daft!
