If a real A320 was to fly those routes with a full load you would be swimming the second half of each leg!

RE: My Short Pilot Career Thus Far

Always great to talk aviation on this site Cooper. You’ll find the 172 a great follow on from the 152. If anything it’s actually easier to fly as it doesn’t get blown around quite so much. When you qualify be careful not to overload it with too many passengers combined with too much fuel though.

Any aeroplane can go a long way when it has no payload!

There has been a lot of repair work completed under warranty on both our 330 airframes.

    RE: Low flying…..

Thanks for the pics. I have about 500 hours in Pawnees (glider towing rather than crop spraying) and it bought back some good memories.

Oh I see what you mean! I don’t really know what vibe is going round HQ at the moment with regard to the 330 but the funny thing is that it is currently proving to be a bit of an unpopular fleet. I think the honeymoon is over as far as the flight crew are concerned in that they have played with the new toy just long enough to now be a bit fed up with spending most of their lives in the Domincan Republic/Orlando/Tobago/Cancun/Cuba/Barbados,etc!

Saab – my apologies for not posting this earlier but I thought you already knew, I have known for months. My brother (a BA 737 captain) told me that he will start operations to Guernsey using the 737-500 in February (I think it was February he said). He tells me he has been practicing for it by trying to make a certain turn off at Dublin which marks the same landing distance available as Guernsey!

RE: Where is this aircraft now? Air Europa Express

Air Europe Express was originally Connectair. It subsequently survived the downfall of Air Europe (its parent company) and became CityFlyer Express before absorption into BA in its present form. In its early days it was also merged with the former Guernsey Airlines.
