Had lunch today with a 737 skipper for easyJet. Last week he flew to Orly on the flightdeck of a positioning company A319. It was the first time he had been on the flightdeck of an Airbus. His comment was that he thought the 737NG cockpit and working environment was vastly inferior to the Airbus. His view was that a multi-sector day in the 319 would be less stressful than in the 737.

No wonder they went down the pan with such a wayward fleet strategy! 😉

I shall attend on one of the microlight days by road (Popham’s too short for me!). Would like to say hello to forum members if poss.
I don’t think anyone needs to treat employees the way he treats his though… Asian sweatshop factory children get more perks than Ryanair staff.
I heard in the news his latest move has been to ban employees from recharging their mobile phones on Ryanair premises. The electricity cost of recharging a mobile phone is around 1p. Clearly a company that makes £150m in profits has to look after the penny…
Heard exactly that on BBC news 24 this morning. Dreadful.

…so there IS a god!
Take on an old tri-jet to do long haul work…aircraft goes tech alot…passengers lose faith…stories in media…company goes bust.
I can’t help but wonder about similarities here with the situation that led to the demise of Excalibur.
One thing that hasn’t been mentioned so far…
Most lease terms specify that a leased aircraft should be returned in all white colours. Therefore many airlines colour schemes don’t deviate much from white. This was certainly the reason why Aurigny’s Saabs were used to roll out the then new company colours in 1999.
