In addition to providing an effective air defense network, the United States should also build the Georgians a nuclear reactor that’s capable of enriching Uranium for nuclear weapons.
Iraq is making alot of money off its oil at the moment, huge amounts infact…
I wouldn’t be surprised if the standard of living in Iraq eclipsed that of Russia in the next decade.
Thank you for your immense contribution to this forum
You’re welcome;)
Nice Pics………..
Yeah, they’re great pics.
Unfortunately, the planes look like sh!t.
They could’ve at least painted them before they were delivered.
Do Western nations typically deliver BRAND NEW (well maybe new) airplanes without a paint job like that?
You’d think with all the recent controversy surrounding Vikramaditya the Russians would at least throw in a decent custom paint job for the migs.
The UK should get the F35C, but they won’t because they’re too cheap to equip their carriers with catapults.
Just like they were too cheap to add a gun to the Typhoon. Although I hear they’ve changed their mind on that and are going to include the gun, they’re just not going to buy the ammo for it.
The Brits always seem to build top notch equipment, but then they’ll leave critical items off just to save a few bucks. 🙁
Why are they so cheap?
IIRC Bulava has had three successful launches and three failures.
Bulava is great! It will finally give the Russians a SLBM on par with the Trident D-5…
…if they could just get it to work right. 😉
Do you know how many lunch failures the Trident program had?
No, but they’ve had more than their fair share of success over the last two decades.;)
Lockheed Martin-built Trident II D5 Missile Achieves Record 120 Successful Test Launches In A Row

The U.S. Navy conducted a successful test launch today of a Trident II D5 Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) built by Lockheed Martin. The Navy launched the unarmed missile from the submerged submarine USS HENRY M JACKSON (SSBN 730) in the Pacific Ocean. The Trident II D5 missile now has achieved 120 consecutive successful test launches since 1989 – a record unmatched by any other large ballistic missile or space launch vehicle.LINK
Ya learn something every day. I’m truly surprised Israel is still building the old Kfir.
I remember reading somewhere online that Israel was upgrading their existing Kfirs to the C10 standard and selling them for under 20mil. Quite a bargain if ya ask me.;)
What’s a Mirage 2000-5 cost these days?
C-10 with ELTA 2032M radar. A crappy airframe stuffed with pretty impressive electronics, almost like Super Hornet 😉
The Kfir C10 isn’t exactly a pushover(even for the Sukhoi), it’s a fairly impressive aircraft that would give many contemporary fighters a run for their money.;)
If this thing turns into a shooting war I’d love to see the Colombians shoot down the much vaunted Sukhois of the Venezuelan Air Force with their 80’s era Kfirs. That would be hilarious! But not as hilarious as reading the posts of some of the members here trying desperately to explain why they performed so poorly.
The Colombians only have 12 or so Kfirs…
They just bought a bunch more.
Not sure when they’re going to be delivered though.
Mr. Chavez is clearly insane.
Psychiatric medication could probably help his condition, but I still think a regime change in Venezuela is long overdue.;)
When will Colombia receive the Kfir’s they just bought?
I don’t remember having talked to you.. I am having this conversation with other gentlemen here, got any problem with that?
Take it easy, buddy. I’m just trying to understand what all that stuff has to do with Cavour vs Vikramditya. I was hoping you’d explain it to me.:)
I will provide example from a field I know very well – night vision (Photonis-DEP or British EEV). A typical European night vision goggles like Thales LUNOS or Angenieux LUCIE cost 1,5x more than American made and 2,5x more than Russian, while having roughly 50-60% of performance of American Gen3 Pinnacle and maybe 80% or Russian Gen3 Ga-As Katod.
Europeans have spent large amounts of money for developing various kinds of NV products no one has ever heard about, except few types they are not being exported and European armies buy monkey versions of PVS-7 and 14 from USA.
More examples: fighter radars, Rafale and EF (as much as I like both), LeClerc, AMX..
Except the exports are increasing steadily. When was the last time Italians sold a fighter or trainer?
Cold War ain’t enough for you?
In 2000-2006 Russia exported arms worth $40.53 bn (2nd place), Italy sold for $3.01 bn (8th place), that is less than a half of what Russia exports in a year, wanna bet who sold more ships?
Dude, what does all this tripe have to do with Cavour vs Vikramditya?
Is wanting world domination evil? They claim evil Mr Putin wants it…
Who is “they” and where and when did they make this claim?
I am sure you can work it out… but I will give you a hint. When a Russian was murdered in the UK with poison the western media that I have access to (ie BBC, US media, Australian media, and New Zealand media all immediately speculated that Putin himself was behind it. No other possibility was considered. For all we know this guy could have been involved in smuggling the poison that was worth hundreds of thousands of pounds for a few hundred grams. There is no question the victim was a political enemy of Putin.
Please Garry, spare me your insane ravings and just answer the f0king question.
Tell me, who is “they” and when and where did they claim Putin is seeking world domination.
Please be specific.
Thanks in advance.:)
