    Zombie revival.

Found this photo of myself and my father with NH238 at Biggin Hill. Mid to late 80s. Definitely not after mid 1990.

Just saw a P-51 over Whyteleafe heading in the direction of Biggin Hill.

Can anyone confirm this or do I need a trip to the opticians?

Just got back from there. I got there at about noon and was greeted by a Hurricane doing a quick flypast before landing. The Lancaster arrived at about 12:20 and did a very, very nice flypast before landing and taxiing to where BBC R2 were doing the show.

There were two people waving to us from the fuselage. I’m guessing one was Chrissy-wissy.

Well, we all had a great time on Saturday. We were lucky enough to see a T-6 Texan/Harvard, P-40, Spitfire, Nimrod and Hurricane take to the skies.

Nice to see the TFC P-47 in one piece and also two Buchons in the various hangars.

Nice stuff. Glad I got to go. My family enjoyed it too.

The phantom that displayed on that Sunday ran off the end of the runway and was at the airfield all the following week.

I remember that. I was standing, with my late father, on thepavement of the main road opposite the runway.

We saw the Phantom land and then we got a nose full of burnt rubber.

I also remember the A-10 coming out of a roll and diving on us before levelling out down the runway.

A wonderful man and a credit to the sport, he will be sadly missed.

Agreed. Sad, sad news. Being a Town fan myself I’ll be raising a glass to him and reflecting on good old days.

Have just heard that she’s booked for the Victory Show over the weekend of September 6/7 as well.

Which is nice. So, anyone who in the Leicestershire area can pop on over to Foxlands Farm.
