I’ve got a load more to resize and add but I’ve got to go shopping right now. I’ll post the rest later.

I’m sure every week they managed to get themselves locked in a shed with enough tools and materials to build a tank/rocket launcher/space yacht out of chewing gum and empty coke cans.

Will the bad guys ever learn?

I seem to remember one one occasion they had a C47 ready to fly out and were barrelling towards it in the van escaping from someone or other when instead of stopping, BA drove the van straight through the (now obviously mocked-up) C47 which burst like paper and then leapt theatrically into flame. BA yells triumphantly “we ain’t flyin'” then they are all caught by Dekker and massacred in a fire fight. Except that last bit. I made that up.

That scene is actually in the special edition version.

There was also in another episode some stock footage from ‘Tales of the Golden Monkey’ when our hilarious crew tell BA they are getting on ‘a boat’ which turns out to be a Grumman Goose. Those tricksters!

Did they offer him a hamburger which he refused, then opted for the carton of milk that had been laced with 1000mg of Temazepam?

Before I post what I was going to post – do A-4 Skyhawks count? I noticed someone earlier mention a music video and some people may already guess which one I’m talking about!

    Chris

Yep. They all count! I think I should change it to all warbirds, not just classic warbirds.

I see that they are up for auction again, closing date for bids 20th July. So I guess there will be delivery flights after this date with RAF crew.

Where are they going to be auctioned? Not that I have the money to buy one. 🙁

Forever Young it has a bit of a WWII link but it’s basically a love story. Frodo does land the B-25 though.

Anyoone remember a film in the Mad Max vein where the charcters cannibalised various WWII planes to make cars? I think it was called “Road Raiders”

I was about to mention Air Wolf. But there was one episode where Air wolf had an aircombat with a Corsair carrying Air to Air missiles 🙂

The Corsair should have blown Airwolf away… but we know the drill. If there’s a bad guy at the controls the warbird is doomed. Damn you Stringfellow Hawk!!! :dev2:

Technically Iron Eagle III was meant to be a war film, but was inadvertantly the comedy of the year for me!

I hear you there, pal! 😉

Is it common in the Home Counties to have Burt Reynolds evenings then? I thought it was all neighbourhood watch schemes and ornamental goldfish ponds (thank you Stephen Fry) rather than pick up trucks and moonshine… 😀

    TT

Burt Reynolds evenings should be mandatory… except Cop and a Half. That was dreadful.

Wasn’t there a Hawker Hunter at the very end of 28 Days Later?

I suppose that film is slightly war related.

Thanks for your kind comments – erm, due to a lack of requisite number of wings (0) and powerplant (0) Brunters at the end of August – by tow tug! 🙂

(see the website for current pic)

Red tape, eh? Never mind. When are you hoping she’ll be airworthy?

Right, I should check your website…

‘ours’ is 1/48th Tailspin – even better

Sadly it’s scale may be a stumbling block for me. I have limited space and, unless I get rid of my mum’s fine bone china I’ll have to stick to a 1/72 scale model.

I like the idea of your bird being marked up a little differently. It’s nice to see a variation of liveries. It shows that the T-6 served a great many nations. It’d probably be my first warbird purchase… after the PPA and the hefty cash injection into my bank account. 😉

    What show’s is she attending?
