Excellent stuff.

TA805 with Clive Denney at the helm left Biggin this afternoon at about 4pm and returned at about 17:30. I was right at the end of 03 when he came back in 🙂
A rather nice Auster followed him in.
I saw it too!
I was sitting down watching some TV in my new flat in Caterham when I heard a familiar sound over the TV. I looked out the window and saw the unmistakable shape of a Spitfire flying low overhead, I guessed, bound for the Kenley area. My little ‘un saw his first Spitfire (flying) at about 4:15pm yesterday.
Great times!

Have just e-mailed my wife to ensure our three year old has his ears pinned back and eyes peeled just in case there’s some activity in the air from those two.
Weather pending, of course.

I was just looking at the 2008 display dates on the BBMF website and one on July 5th caught my eye:
“Vulcan Flypast”
Does anyone know about a potential Lancaster/Vulcan sortee or am I just reading too much into it?

The Waitomo PL-11 Airtruck gets my vote
Wasn’t a similar aircraft used in Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome?
The Biggin Hill Air Fair seems to have got a bit ironed out already.
D’oh!
His name is John Harper.
At the moment we don’t know his service number. Hopefully my colleague is going to have a dig around and get back to me with what she can find.

… and a JU87 Stuka.
I’d like a nice DH Tiger Moth and a North American AT-6 Texan/Harvard in RAF OTU livery.

The print entitled “The Eagle’s New Wings” caught my imagination. Another “what if?” that has been visualized for us. Simply stunning!
“Still Waters” was another that made me look again.
It’s days like these that I thank God that my Dad had bought a few David Shepherd, Michael Turner, Robert Taylor and Gerald Coulson prints all those years ago… I’d also like to thank my Dad for buying them.

Forgot to add the title is “White Lightning” by Phillip WestAlways easier to find with a title!
Good luck looking for a print
PaulC
I’d just come back for lunch thinking that I should have asked what the title was and who painted it.
I think I’m getting confused with what a print is. Unless the picture is rather rare now…
Again, thanks!

Or possibly this one Paul

That’s the one!!! Now, to find a print!
Thanks for the help, chaps!
here I am stuck at work, unable to get to the videos due to my firewall… 😡
Same here. I’ll be scampering off home at 16:00 and will be scouring the Sky channels.
While we’re all waiting let’s guess the time of all wheels off – 13:03?
I think everyone at work is secretly hoping it will happen during their lunch break so they can nip down to Dixons and pretend to be interested in buying a new TV.
I know I am.

Is the observer looking at you in the second to last photo?
Stunning none the less. I remember watching a F/A-18 Hornet fly through a few canyons while I was passing through Death Valley in April 2006. Breathtaking.
