Apparently these flying machines can be at more than one airfield in a single day.
I am researching to find out how this is possible.
I believe it may have something to do with the flying bit.
😀
It is possible to be at two venues on the same day…..
Modern technology, huh? What will they think of next? 😉
If my car is fixed then I’ll be coming along with my spangly new camera! 🙂
Some great pictures there, colt59. Thanks for sharing them with us.
I hear you. But I think that the person looking around the forum wouldn’t look at the particular thread if they didn’t think they’d enjoy it.
For instance I may not look at some pictures of airliners. This is basically because airliners don’t really do anything for me unless it’s transporting me to another country and back again. However, if someone posts a thread about an air display, I would have a look and probably enjoy the pictures (I wouldn’t enjoy the fact that I missed the air display and sat on my bum that day twiddling my thumbs because of lack of forethought).
In short, it’s down to personal preference. If you don’t think you’ll like the photos don’t look at them. Unless it’s something deeper that irritates you. 😉
There’s a thread on the UK reenactor forum about this very plane.

I may be able to get some contact details for you. Or some contact details of a man who knows a man if you know what I mean…
Was it you walking around Old warden on the Sundoy of the de Haviland charity event this year asking for pilots signitures?
Me? No. I’ve never been to Old Warden before.
Don’t forget to get a flight line walk so that you can get a bit closer to the aircraft. You may even get me to be your guide!
Just look for a guy trying to give the vendors about £5.00 more than asked for because of previous air show experiences and you’ll have found me!
Unfortunately I’ll be in Spain, looks like I picked the wrong week to take a holiday 😡
Just tell the wife or whoever you’re going with that you’re popping to the loo before the flight boards. Scamper out of the window, hail a taxi and hey-presto!
If anyone queries your disappearance just say you got lost in the departure lounge.
Case closed then. Well investigated everyone. It was a great sight to see them both fly low (not too low) over the valley then make a steep turn in to land. I was on the phone to my girlfriend at the time and told her to hold on.
“You don’t see two Dakotas flying in formation everyday.”
“Two what?”
“Two Dakotas. Planes!”
“Oh…”
“Haven’t you ever seen A Bridge Too Far? No, of course you haven’t…”
😉
Well they’ve both just taken off again. Both were from Air Atlantique.
Mind you Polythene Pam does strike a discordant note.
Wasn’t Polythene Pam the name of one of those dodgy blow up dolls that Del and Rodney got hold of in an episode of Only Fools and Horses?
Hang on… Wikipedia just told me that it’s a Beatles song.
Or it might be a name for a polythene bag.
Somehow the whicker picnic hamper seems to be in keeping with the atmosphere
I just keep seeing that 1930’s picnic scenerio. A white and red chequered table cloth laid on the grass with an open picnic hamper and a bottle of bubbly…
Marvellous!
It makes me wish I had my Dad’s 1973 MGB Roadster with me. I could have driven that up to the show and really let my hair down (Which is virtually impossible. Those who know me will testify to that).
Pimms, anyone? 😉
I’m going! All that will be left of my brothers car will be some tyre marks on the driveway!
Good luck getting her running again! The Buccaneer is a gorgeous aircraft!
