No hero worship for you, then.
Explode a cow in the kitchen, then she wouldn’t notice the new ceiling decoration.Flood
Thought of that but I couldnt find one small enough to fit in the Microwave !.
Thought about buying another golfdfish as well but since we have put fish in the aquarium (where else could they go ? thought about a budgie cage but not sure about how to stop the water from falling through the gaps between the bars !) , we can never see them…all we see is the dogs b*m cos he’s invariably got his nose up against the glass swaying from side to side watching the ‘undead’ fish swim around.
I could just own up to it and get into trouble, but the trouble with getting into trouble is the trouble it causes !. Mind you saying that, they making up afterwards is well worth the trouble…..but thats another story / thread !.
Of course I could just take the light bulb out then she’d never know !
had the Goldfish for a starter
wont work mate…the ladder’s too big to stir the rest of the mixture. Maybe I should toss the rest up there and pretend its artex instead ?
Brilliant. Keep it coming guys. Any warbird owners care to divulge secrets of their own little people appearing ?
All those burning bridges that are falling after me, all those lonely feelings and a burning memory … everyone I left behind each time I close the door, burning bridges lost forever more …
(I never knew if I got the lyrics right … hope they make sense.)
Yup, thats about right. a very haunting theme tune.
“Don’t just stand there. Get one up!”
Sqdn Leader “Skipper”
Robbo wilco ( good that bit !).
OK Chaps, listen in, now the balloons going up this Friday evening on the Gamezone (around game 50 from 21:00hrs. Look for the Forum Game, enter password ‘spitfire’) and we’re to get stuck in. Its going to be a bit dicey and dare say some of chaps might get their paint a tad scratched, so remember, watch out for your wingman and get stuck in. Now secrecy is the of the utmost importance, you’ll need to check in this thread to make sure some bally scoundrel hasnt left any details carelessy behind nearer the time.
Your round skipper
Forum Scramble!
Wizzard ‘ol boy. ‘Bout time we got CFS 2 up and running again….nothing but Spitties this time !!
Didn’t William Shatner see one on his wingtip before he joined Star fleet. 😀
Phil.
There just has to be joke about Klingons there somewhere. Hey, who knows, maybe the Klingons have ’em as well !.
Are there any at Hendon / Duxford ? ……gremlins not Klingons !
My mobile rings with the theme tune to Kelly’s Heroes.
Burning Bridges by the Mike Curb Congregation.
Brilliant
Ooooops, nearly off topic there !.
Alright then, sounds like a good idea to me! 😀
Brilliant…..those pylons in the background almost look like the original radar masts we had during the last big one.
Any aircraft that isnt a spitfire there is more to historic aviation than spitfires surprizingly 🙂
Errrrr….whazzat avatar ? is that a non Spitfire I see ? Shock ! it looks like a jet ! Horror…..maybe even a Bucc? ?
The Spitfire will always have place in a British run forum, much like I’d imagine the Mustang would do in the States.
What are the ‘planes that hold the most for you ?. Start a thread on one and methinks you’d be surprised by the response…even from the resident Forum Spitfire Squadron
Sorry Gary – I forgot the smilie. i was making a flippant remark about numbers, in other words, once you have over 10,000 aeroplanes on one field, who needs to count? 🙂
No worries….Not a very good time for me at the moment and I’m jumping down everyones throats at work as well.
As you say, by the time youve worn your legs down to the knee caps walking round, and then you realise you still havent covered half the field, it doesnt really matter how many there are cos just when you think youve come to the end of one row, you’ll see umpteen more off in the distance….is it possible to become airplane dislexic ?
Its a real mind blower of a place for a first time visitor.
Utter exaggeration – you will be lucky to see any more than 12,000 aircraft at Oshkosh.
I go on reported figures !. You counted them all maybe ?
I flew last year with :-
http://www.ianallan.com/travel/aviation/index.htm
all inclusive of air travel from UK to Oshkosh, then coach from Hotel (accommodation incl) to airfield and back each day. Did the 8 day trip, and am busy saving to go this year.
any body who’se thought about it but prefers to ‘do’ the UK shows….well, I looked into prices and how many ‘planes you’d see at a show and found that 2 full days at Legends worked out at around 28p per aircraft photo’d, when Oshkosh worked out at around 0.002 p per aircraft and if you havent been before, every one of the fifteen thousand planes you’ll see at the show, are all guaranteed to be new to you !. Where else can you get a ride in B17 ? certainly not in the UK.
Go…..or regret it
I’ve nearly worn out my video of this !. When it first hit the cinema’s, I built models of all the tanks (complete with all the secret weapons….loudspeakers on the turrets to play ‘soothing music when going into battle….bloody brilliant !)
Oddball was absolutely brilliant !
Lighthearted fun.
Gives me a reason to run it again to check out the planes no youve raised a question…must get some more beer in for tonight !
