I’m assuming you dont mean the C*rlsb*rg ! (6.70 for a crate of 12 pint bottles from the NAAFI. thats about 55 cents a pint…beats the h*ll out of S£2.40 for a pint of Fosters !

I got mine last year a few days after Xmas last year at a jewelers in Paphos. Paid CY£160 (reduced from CY£400.00 when I got here in 2000) for it. Got a bit knocked off cos the battery was flat !.

I’ve seen ’em in the UK but mainly advertised in magazines and the going rate seems to be about S£260 or there abouts.

Only drawback is that if you use the GPS a lot, the battery life quits after 5 1/2 hours so I tend to use it sparingly…switch on, quick check, switch off sort of thing. Saying that, batteries are only a few quid (out here) and its a great pose !.

    Guys

check out the following site :

    http://www.aviationpics.de/

(Sorry I cant get a link to work on this …dont know how !)

CANCEL THAT LAST BIT…WHADYA KNOW IT WORKED…YIPPEE

check out the Movies…Military section…there is a cracking video clip of a C130 Herc coming in and firing…believe it or not…’retro rockets’…. to slow down and stop a bit quicker than normal….only trouble was the rockets fired when he was up about 50 feet and the resultant ‘arrival’ left his his wings not attached and the plane at 90 degrees angle to his landing run !!!

Got some really good stuff there like…no, you have a look

Actually, I’ve got it programed pretty well at the mo…first way- point is the fridge (direct route you see)…then fridge to cutlery drawer for bottle opener, then the third way-point is back to the pc.

the good thing about it is I can use the same route over and over again…allthough after the sixth trip I tend to use the pinball principle of domicile navigation, ie: keep walking / staggering and sooner or later you’ll end up where you started by bouncing / ricocheting off walls / doors. Only trouble is by then I’ve either spilt or drunk the bottle and have to retrace my steps (you try walking backwards to the fridge for another beer without waking up the family / next door / street….Now I know how Micheal Jackson invented Moon-walking !!!!) for another.
