RE: What background do you have currently?
Okay, this is my wallpapaer, here he is….this is my latest toy (I mentioned I wuz gettin a new bike in my recent threads). Its a Harley Wide Glide…Only one in Cyprus in that colour scheme, and the importers in nicosia aint getting any more in!. The piccy doesnt do the colours justice but hey, when you’ve got the real thing sat out in the garage…who cares !.
I’ve gone the route from mopeds though to middleweight tourers and on to sports bikes (Sold my Fireblade about three months ago) and now have a different type of Legend to ride round on.
Sad person that I am, I also have the same piccie on my pc at work and I’ve got a short soundtrack of a Harley being given some stick on straight through pipes as a startup .wav as well.
Ho hum
Cheers
Gary

RE: UFO (Unidentified Flashing Object)
If it wasn’t moving, then what you witnessed was as has been mentioned before, a star.
The light (coincidentally travelling at the speed of light but slowing down gradually as it hits the Earth’s atmosphere) was being defracted by all the dust in our atmosphere thus giving the impression of changing colour rapidly.
I think.

RE: Nothing ryhmes with Purple !
Hadn’t thought about the other color / colours ! and more to the point who’s the clever so and so that decided that the word ‘orange’ actually describes an orange ? (which it does perfectly!)

RE: Pilot image
I reckon he’s end up plugging his ‘Speed Jeans’ into the radio and getting a squeeze every time he transmitted. Don’t know what his dog would think of his outfit either !
Mind you, saying that, it would appear that there are quite a number of relatives of PO / FO Prune still around these days (Probably find that one was in the pointy end of the recent de-ruddered Concorde and his excuse was he got leg cramp (DVT ?) and streched his legs without thinking !!!)
Cheers

RE: Milestone
Well done mate, good on yer, keep it up
Methinks perhaps we could persuade our residant Webmaster to program in a little summat to make our anniversaries / 1000 posts stand out a bit…you know, nothing pretentious, just flashing lights, fanfares etc…give us all something to be proud of !
Only joking…I’ve along way to go yet !
