As the Executive Director of another Canadian Aviation Museum I would ask no conclusions be drawn until the facts are out.
History, Heritage and Museums, other than government funded/operated, are at risk internationally for reasons ranging from land values to lack of active volunteers, lack of reasonable funding to mismanagement.
I have NO IDEA what has happened in Toronto but considering all the factors that come into play until the facts come out no one knows what is happening but those directly involved.
That said this should be a warning, most museums run on the ragged edge and the difference between open and close can be very small…yet without them the history is lost and we are the ones short changed.

Thanks everyone
Shame it appears F3s are extinct.
This acquisition will become part of long term planning as research has shown its place in our history and eventually finding a representative of the species will be needed.
In this case hopefully time is on our side
Tom
Once again thanks everyone for the kind words…our team has done a great job.

She is set up as a 418 Squadron 1950s strike aircraft so much different than the usual Second World War appearance.
No top turret, astro dome instead. No waist guns or tail turret guns in place.
(4) 50s on the sides and (2) in the nose for strafing.
Imagine these young crews were expected to fly North from Edmonton to stop the Communist hoards coming over the pole.

Are my eyes playing tricks, or is it still waiting for a starboard wing ?
Good eyes
I was wondering if anyone would notice!
The Starboard wing was installed about 1hr after the photo.

The Last Airfest is over and while the feeling is very bittersweet the event was a huge success. The day started off dicy with shaky weather but it all came together in the afternoon and Discovery Air Hawk One F-86 Sabre arrived in the middle of an already huge event to an excited crowd.
In the end a great event with rough numbers showing attendance around 10,000
Thanks to all that helped.
Good day
Well Moggy appreciate you pointing things out by I do believe the difference is in the distance…
Over here
Biplane
Bi Plane
Bi-Plane
are used pretty much universally…comes from being colonials I guess
Dependent and Dependant…in the poster context are also used similarly here
But that one I will give you as I have no idea it got missed through multiple proof reads (not by me cause I can’t spell)
