I have just been on the RLM Aviation web-site to have a look at your new toys Peter…
😎
I do like the look of that Stieglitz!
Congratulations on your purchases!
The flight of Fury GCBEL on the 18th November 2006 was a routine local fllight, including aerobatics over Tarrant Rushton. The aircraft is an FB11, and any rumours of its sale and export to a foreign base are quite untrue . The blue exhaust smoke is normal for a big radial, but was exacerbated on this day by a long and tortuous taxi back to the hangar after landing.
Sorry for any mistakes in my original post. I’ve always called it a FB.10 since reading about it many years ago 😮
She’s a gorgeous aeroplane with prop blades like glass, and I hope to see her flying again soon!
If you notice, the starboard side of the fuselage is Australian. As for the reason see my previous post. I vaguely remember that someone did the same with a Spitfire some years ago and TFC’s Curtis Hawk carries different markings on Port and Starboard sides. Certainly there was a P-51 marked as Moose on one side (posrt I think) and Old Crow on the other – can’t remember whose it was and I don’t know if it is still so marked.
That was TFC’s P-51D G-BTCD, now under the care of OFMC.
It was painted Moose on one side, with Candyman on the other.
Looked rather smart 🙂
Shoreham, or rather Transair, have a Tornado prototype on guard.
Cranwell has a Jet Provost 5A, XW353
Sorry to resurrect this old thread, but I am trying to trace the Key member that got in touch with me about this query.
Unfortunately the mail server corrupted his message! 😡
Thanks in advance!

She’s still at Hurn at present, departure date unknown but could be soon.
Great news. Well done to all involved!
I hadn’t spotted it was written as XL321 😮
Yep it’s XF321 alright!
The cockpit was with Mick Jennings at Coltishall, the rest is being sold on eBay in bits.
I might take a drive by next week and have a look 🙂
The Kittiwake was present at the Fly Navy Heritage Trust Charity Flying Day at Yeovilton in September…
Airwork also had Hunter T.7 XX467 for ground instruction in the 1980s and 90s at Perth.
Retro have WT711 as a Hunter F.4 – blasphemy.
She’s a GA.11, albeit she’s a Harley light, errrr light 🙂
