Yes, it is a Chichester(?) Leopard. It has been on display in the museum for about a year now. Sadly it hasn’t flown for some time.
That was Fighter Meet 1997 and was WV908’s debut in her new colours 🙂
Andy – Swordfish photo – 😀 That Duxford show was definitely held between 1984 and 1986, as LS326 had D-Day stripes during this time.
Wow! Thanks Mark12 🙂 Hopefully 326 will be back flying next season following its wing spar repairs. It’s been grounded since early 2000.
Sherborne didn’t get it either then 🙁
The Sea Hawk was out of action between 1987 and 1989 under full overhaul. It could be 1986?
Must be pre-1986 as that was the last season for the RNHF Sea Hawk before its overhaul and subsequent grounding in 1989.
25p! LOL. It certainly looks like XW287, the first production JP5.
I think the second is XW433 but cannot be 100% certain.
Thanks Les 🙂
Thanks Les. Always interested in any JP photos, especially of XW289.
buccsociety – yes please 🙂 Would you be able to get a close-up photo of the 5MU lettering?
What happened to G-FUGA?
What a glorious sight, especially Chris’ T.7
T.7 :p Blasphemy from the Buccaneer man, wash your mouth out 😉
Excellent photographs F6F.
No, they have taste 😀 😉
Excellent photos Glen 🙂 If only Delta would re-spray WV372 back into FRADU colours! Hang on, what am I saying, a return to battleship grey? What am I saying 😉
Congratulations to all at Delta for XL577’s restoration.
Let’s hope the final stages of the restoration go well and it flies before the end of the season. If it doesn’t, never mind.
Of course not! I think ZA175 and 176 will be one of the lucky ones that survive, and not turned into saucepans.
