Royal Marines 3BAS (or RN 847 NAS) at Yeovilton still have a few Gazzas on strength at Yeovilton. It was always nice to see and hear them overhead.

Not all the ex-Royal Navy Gazelles are in civilian schemes Mike, there are still a few that show off their tail-end Shark 🙂
Some ex-RAF ones may also wear their military uniform.

You may be right about the operational line though, have any Army ones been demobbed?

Excellent photos – I always liked that scheme on the Bearcat.

I believe the 1980s Tigercat is a different one to TFC’s machine.
Hard to believe that has been around for eight years!

    Sorry for the confusion guys.
My query was referring to aircraft still under Mr Grey’s ownership today, in terms of flying condition. Includes Geneva as well, not just time based at Duxford.

Although it would still be interesting to hear which aircraft is the overall grandmother of all the aircraft that have been owned and flown at one time ot another by Mr Grey 🙂

The Gaz could be one of many, there’s quite a few on the civilian circuit now.

    OK Propstrike 🙂

John BT was not to blame for either of the Sea Fury accidents in 1989/90. It was just horrendous bad luck he was sat in the front seat on both occasions.
On the accident at Prestwick I once overheard an enthusiast at a FAAM meet, saying that it was just a case of “the undercarriage didn’t go up or down, five minutes later he was in the SAR Sea King”

You are right about the problems with the current Fury VR930 though.
I do hope when it gets back in the air it stays there for a long time to come.

The bare metal T3A is XM355 Paul.
Never been to Brunty, but hope to do so soon!

Nice to see them ‘roaring’ down the runway 🙂
    Thanks Gareth.

Yes PS915 is “The Last”. The other is a PR.XI PL965 from Breighton Aerodrome.
I think it could be the only PR.XI left flying at the moment?
