As a regular visitor, and regular contributor (albeit sporadic) I’d like to add my tenpenneth.
1. Moderating
I used to moderate on a gaming forum, and believe you me it was a pain in the ****. Having to read every post, even if I had no interest in the topic, was time consuming and quite frankly boring. But…. it was necessary. I dont envy anyone doing it, especially on a forum this big and wide ranging. I’ve pretty much agreed with all Lances modding, and believe the forum would be a duller place without him.
2. Thread topics
I dont particularly care which section/heading/location you put a certain topic in, as long as I know where it is thats all there is to it. Is it worth actually arguing over??
3. My particular beef
Seeing as we’re discussing the forum in general can I ask the reason behind limiting the number of photographs in a thread. I assume this was aimed at Maikel who had just posted large posts with lots of images (If I’m wrong, apologies). Surely the whole point of a section concerning aviation photographs is to show them, why ask the contributor to post a link. I might as well just browse the various photo sites, but not be able to comment or praise or even ask the photographer a question.
