Isn’t this where the temporary AVP was? With that crappy portakabin shop?

Back before the 2nd runway was built or even before there was an AVP on the south side. you could drive up a track to a crash gate and park up, or even venture over the rough ground.
Whenever the EL AL flight was due the police used to clear the track and tape it off at the road. Like tape was supposed to stop a terrorist attack!

I think the Etihad is superb, it doesn’t look ‘centred’ though, as for the others I think the foreground objects may be the reason they didnt get accepted. Great landing shots though, you can’t beat a bit of rubber 😮

I’m a whinging holidaymaker (although I’m trying to fly out, not in!!) and a spotter, does that make me doubly important? 😀

I wrote to Gordon Brown yesterday to complain that nothing had been done for the people really affected by the grounding of aircraft.
I told him to forget about all those whinging holidaymakers who are getting an extra week in the sun, (hotel and food paid for), and concentrate on us, the humble British Plane Spotter.
Looks like he took heed. 😀

Nice catch Kevin, I picked them both up on the SBS today. Always good to see where these things end up.
