We just need to place firm orders for more Type 45’s (another 6 would be nice!!)
Count me in on the petition!!!
This Government should be had up for treason against our armed forces. A force level of 25 escorts is just not enough let alone cutting back to 19. Also, the new Carriers are vital to the fleet and need to be ordered now, I’m sure they wouldn’t bat an eyelid over giving the EU or Immigration “Hotels” 200 million quid.
I just hope to god that they get kicked out next election, although, I think it will be too late for the Navy. We must be the laughing stock of the world 😡 😡
On a side note, my work colleague’s serving boyfriend has had extra time off over the chrismas period as there isn’t enough money to pay for heating!!!! What a joke but unfortunately, it’s true.

bye the way all the Invincable have had the same upgrade as Ark anyway Illustrious definiatly had that upgrade. i don’t think the invisable will be paid off for the time being
Invincible has already paid off. This happened on the 1st August 2005 and she is now in reserve at the back end of Portsmouth Harbour. She will be retained in this state until, if I remember correctly, 2012. There are rumours that she will then be sold to India although I can see this happening well before then if this current Government (god forbid) remains in office.
Ark Royal has just completed her major refit, she is currently undergoing sea trials in the North Sea. I just hope however, that the two remaining carriers are not required in any future action against an enemy with an Air Arm (for example: Argentina and the Falklands) as thanks to our current Labour administration, decided to axe our Sea Harrier FA/2’s so, our fleet now has no air cover if they are out of reach of the RAF operating from a land base………shocking!!!

I’ve been using a Sigma 50-500mm EX lens for the past six months (albeit with a Nikon D70……….and a D200 on order!!). I can’t recommend it enough, it’s been fantastic.
Cheers
Steve
David,
Here’s some more photo’s of Hurricane’s although I did take them at the 2005 Sandown (Isle of Wight) Airshow. Unfortunately, the weather was not too good!!!

All the best
Steve
I’m using a Sigma 50-500mm Lens. With the Nikon D70, because of the sensor, this increases the focal length to the equivalent of 750mm. I don’t know how I managed beforehand!!!!!
Cheers

Here’s a few of my photo’s from Air Day 2005

Ade’s FA.2 Cockpit was indeed £1500 + £200 delivery charges. He’s now found a Nose Cone which will set him back another £200

For me, it would have to be either an EE Lightning or a McD Phantom (FG1)……….sheer brute force!!!!!
Unfortunately, not as yet. He sold one of his Drum Kits to buy it!!! It’s just a case of gradually obtaining the parts as funds allow. First on the list will either be a nose cone or a canopy to keep out the weather if he needs to move the cockpit outdoors. It is currently stored at his workplace!!

Here’s my mates SHAR F/A.2 Cockpit, ZH807 about to be restored.

Steve
Dave,
I’ll let him know that you may be able to help out, as he does want to restore it to it’s former glory. I think that he has already been in contact with Everett regarding the nose cone, he will sort that out in the new year as funds allow!!! I’m sure that he said that he had spoke to them about a Canopy aswell.
Cheers
Steve
It is indeed.
Last i heard a guy called Adrian had purchased ZH807, but that was the only info’ i was privvy to.
.
Yes, the drummer in my band, Adrian Sharpe purchased the cockpit of ZH807 a couple of months ago (he previously owned one of Llanbedr’s Sea Vixen D3 Cockpit’s a few years back). It is now located in Newport on the Isle of Wight but is currently indoors until he can get hold of a canopy and nose cone. He intends to fully restore the cockpit in due course.
Here’s a photo of the proud owner!!!
