One and the same, it went to Booker for restoration:

Has anyone mentioned Sagitarius Rising, by Cecil Lewis? A first hand account of training and dog fighting in WW1 by an RFC ‘Ace.’

I have a copy of the Dash board drawing that I would be willing to photocopy for you. Send me a PM with an address if interested. I might have the throttle assembly drawing as well.

I would also love to see a Whirlwind display, when did they leave RAF service? I suppose a Whirlwind, Wessex, Sea King trio is a possibility….
It’s now available any time via the BBC iplayer, if you can access that service. Who had their footage removed, and why?

I was lucky enough to see both BE2’s fly today, They do look pretty in the air.
Here’s hoping they resurrect Finningley airshow….
P&P – thank you for the timing information, I’m going to work through that later purely for fun. I have seen a racing motorcycle with an engine built around a single cylinder from a radial engine, cannot remember if it was a Jupiter. Attached as I am to my inlet, I would let it go if a viable airworthy restoration project needed it.

I hope to see a Jupiter in the air one day, ideally powering a Gamecock.
This is an inlet manifold assembly, there must be other bits around?

Douglas Bader would be played by Morgan Freeman in a modern remake.
The crashed Whitley caught my eye, any details of the circumstances?
I’ve just acquired this empty instrument panel for my EoN Olympia, the intention is to build a spare in case any of the instruments in the standard panel go unserviceable. EoN designed the panel to be quickly detachable, so that the instruments could be removed to safety if the glider needed to be left after a field landing. If any one has any suitable instruments please let me know…
Superb and inspirational work, Dave. I hope the good gluing weather continues for you!

Not as yet… So if anyone has a manual for the Flying Squirrel sat on a shelf gathering dust it’d be much appreciated…
Good luck with the restoration, Bruce Main Smith might be able to supply a copy of the engine manual – http://www.bruce-main-smith.co.uk.
