Turkish Aerospace Industries, Inc. (TAI) and Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) unveiled the first of 30 new Turkish-built F-16s in ceremonies today at TAI’s facility near Ankara.
Weapons bay doors delivered for new UAV
ROME, May 23 (UPI) — Alenia Aeronautica of Italy has delivered weapons bay doors and operating systems to Dassault Aviation for a new unmanned combat aerial vehicle.
The nEUROn technology demonstrator UCAV is undergoing final assembly at Dassault’s facility in Istres, France.
Ethiopia buys unmanned aerial vehicles from BlueBird
The Ethiopian army has ordered unmanned aerial vehicles from Israeli manufacturer BlueBird Aero Systems, and has also contracted the company to establish maintenance facilities for the aircraft.

In April, Tokyo narrowed down its selection to three choices — the F-35, F/A-18 and Eurofighter.

A successful flight test of ‘Rustom 1 Unmanned Aerial Vehicle’ was conducted today.
“Rustom 1″ being developed by the Aeronautical Development Establishment (ADE), a DRDO lab engaged in pioneering R&D work in the field of aeronautics, has an endurance of 14 hours and altitude ceiling of 8000 metres,” a DRDO release said.

IDEF 2011: TAI eyes Anka production contract
Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) is confident of securing a production contract for its Anka MALE UAV from the Turkish Air Force by the end of the year.
