I really hope I get to see it fly, somehow, somewhere. Last time I saw a ‘real’ airworthy Luftwaffe aircraft from the war must’ve been Black 6 …long time ago 🙁
Am I right in saying this has a BMW 801? Where did they get the engine from…or is it the actual unit recovered with the original aircraft?
I printed off the pictures and showed him tonight but sadly he didn’t really recognize them, his eyesight isn’t very good at all, although he did spot the KW ;). He was with 615 from just before the war (I think) through to December 1940…when were these pilots with the squadron?
I’ll print em off and ask him if he recognizes them!
Unfortunately if this thread doesn’t reach 4000 posts by the end of October then it will be scrapped or sold to a foreign buyer possibly in the US or Russia……
I salute you sir, for possibly the funniest forum post I’ve seen all year.
Cripes, you can’t post a thread title like that!!! Gonna take me ages to come back down 🙂
Excellent. The early sequence where he familiarises himself with the Spitfire, and then flies it was, perhaps surprisingly, one of the most powerful parts for me. Very well done.
Cheers all. Have to say, it’s bloody difficult getting right shutter speed to maintain movement in props and yet not suffer from camera shake. Also, am I the only person who was really disappointed that the 109G didn’t display solo?
Lol, damn you! Am just about to upload my pics from the Sunday, was fairly happy with them until I just looked at yours now!! Great photos mate
Mantog
My God man, how big is your lens?! Great shots
Excellent pics, what lens you using? I was there on Sunday, with my 100-400 Canon and I struggled, the light was poor 🙁 but will post mine later. HOW AWESOME WAS THE RAPTOR THOUGH?!!! Makes Typhoon look old!
Love it!!
The S6 picture is absolutely superb!
