TSR2 stick top?! I hope it is mate, it’ll be worth a blimmin fortune!
Sadly not, the copy I have is my dad’s and has same pseodonym. I remember the author who documented the story writing that he had doubts about some of Clements’ recollections e.g seeing trees out in a particular area of tundra where the author was sure there weren’t any, but when he researched it further he found out they were indeed there in a certain part, not many people knew of them. Something like that anyway. I’ve read that book so many times – there was a film made of it a few years ago but haven’t seen it yet.
Presumably, if there was a warrant for my arrest, and police turned up on my doorstep over the xmas period I could tell them to come back later?
No, thought not
This kind of nonsense has to come to an end soon.

Not read that book, but reminds of one of my favourite reads, “As far as my feet will carry me” which is a similar account but this time of a German soldier walking from Siberia to Germany. This book has also been labelled fiction by some but I believe it, and to be honest I’d be gutted if someone came up with ‘hard evidence’ it was made up.
Hi Elliot
Chapter 7 is Directional wireless:

Any of these sound useful?
Hi
Are they both Canon fit? I have a Canon 300D

Thanks Andy, I appreciate your comments.
Hey, opinions are like a**holes, everyone’s got one!
Trust me, it’s not qute as simple as jigsawing a windscreen into an ‘Ikea table’!!!!!!!!!
J
ust a few points on the matter:
1) Try going down to Homebase to pick up a Tornado/Crusader windscreen
2)Try going anywhere else in the UK to find and buy something like these pieces of furniture
3)Describing it as tat is an insult to the person who made them, and even worse, an insult to the people who have bought them. My friend had a stall at Elvington and the response from the airshow crowd was brilliant. The various pieces of furniture were a big hit and some people were genuinly overjoyed at having the opportunity to buy something different. A lot of work goes into this stuff, and that includes making it and sourcing the materials.
Flipflop…you have the dubious honour of making the first negative comment about these items that I’ve ever heard!! My friend is working incredibly hard to make a go of this. Of course some people will not like the look of his furniture, or understand why it’s so expensive but there’s no need to dismiss it as ‘crap’, there are more constructive ways to express an opinion!!
(You’re right in a way…one of those tornado coffee tables wouldn’t look very good in my flat. But that’s mainly because everything else in my lounge is naff and a really nice piece of furniture like that would demand complete redecoration to match it!!). Anyway, no hard feelings but please, try not to be so dismissive!
A coffee table made out of a Bf109 wheel? Sounds like the start of a restoration project to me!
Exactly…and what woman wouldn’t want a nice beech coffee table complete with bullet-proof glass!
The bit slightly earlier where the ‘109’s have to pull up slightly to clear a hedge/fence as they bounce the airfield…now that’s low!
If that Spitfire had been loaded for bear he could have knocked both those Mig-29s out of the air, they had a lucky escape.
Thanks Ross, some good pointers there! The last one may be my next option
The Dresden movie was on last night. The love story aspect is a bit far-fetched but the depiction of the raid is very good. It’s well worth watching
