Well…the saga continues…someone has suggested the seat may be off HS125/Dominie. Can anyoen confirm this?

Hey, it’s nice to dream that maybe, just maybe there could be undiscovered aviation gems around the world, in relatively good condition in the same styleee as the ex-Soviet Union finds.

And as for Photoshop tomfoolery….no idea what you’re talking about. They are bona-fida pics of real aircraft, honest gov. Keep your eyes peeled, maybe some more of my holiday snaps contain other aeronautical treasures ; -)

Lol, no. It’s a genuine enquiry

Although, I did take this interesting pic whilst on holiday in a secret location, couldn’t possibly say which country it was in.

No, but seriously, I was wondering if these exported Halibags were all scrapped or are there any remains?

I can shed some light on the Chinese Sterling…….

A few years ago I went on holiday to China, went round a few places including a couple of remote villages out in the sticks. The ever-present Chinese military were there, but look what I caught in the background of one of my last pics.

    What do you reckon……..?

Just posted a reply and it vanished! Will try again. Thanks Archer, your reply makes a lot of sense, I’d forgotten the crop factor in my focal length/shutter speed calculations, and I’m going to try out that focus mode…that could make all the difference

The pilot in the comic you refer to was Johny Red, although I always thought he was in Battle comic. He flew a blood red Hurricane, and later a solid nosed blood red Mossie……nice!

    Ah Rob, I notice you’re a Novell type. I’m a lowly CNA!

Blimey, the 350D is only a month or two old…what’s she been doing with it?!

I was using 2 bodies, my old 300d and my gf’s 350d, I think the dirty images are from my 300d…tried cleaning lense but it looks like the sensor is dirty….I know there are several ways to do it on your own but how much do Canon charge to do it?

Thank you all for your help. Rob, I’ve had a play with Unsharp Mask…it’s very useful but it can’t undo my shoddy camera work, lol. Papa Lima, what exactly is the benefit of using Auto Servo Mode?. Amitch, you may also be right about my panning skills…and yes, that sensor is dirtier than a pig’s trotter.

More awesome pics! They make 99% of mine look like utter bab. Can I ask what camera/lense combo you took them with?

I go flyfishing for trout quite often, and eat meat most days but I still understand your stance and respect your viewpoints. You’ve come on here and put them across in a sensible manner which I appreciate. I just wish other PETA/animal rights folk behaved in a similar fashion.

This may not make any sense to you or indeed any non-angler…but anglers care more about fish, their wellbeing and habitat than most. We spend a lot of money trying to look after them and ensure they are around for future generations. Without anglers the Atlantic Salmon would truly be on the verge of extinction. It’s a bit sick really, but without us spending money and badgering politicians to look after fish so we can use them as sport, they’d be in a much worse state!

Go figure, as the Americans say!!
