Thanks, it was a Mk 1 so must have had at least 1 browning, although some of the mk1s did have the ventral pack with another 4
What exactly did this ‘sear realease’ do on the browning?

wow…I never would have guessed. Ok, slight revision to my question…can anyone show me pic of this part of the Browning 303 mounting in a Blenheim/any aircraft? I’ve tried google but no luck
    Thanks

Bruce…are you sure dude?! Do the part no.s relate to a Spitfire? Reason I ask is that this was taken from a Blenheim crashsite! The whole thing is about 15 inches long in total. I’m intrigued by the notion it’s off a Spitfire….to be fair a Spit did crash in the same valley but I can’t imagine how it’s wreckage could be in same area

Thanks…although looking at my pics again I realise photobucket’s compression software has degraded the quality somewhat.
Also…the pics were taken with my 300D, which I love…but my girlfriend has just bought a 350D…aaaargh…not fair, my gf can’t have a better camera than me!! Maybe I need to start saving for the 30D?!

We went there last summer on a stag do. Whatever you want…you’ll find it in Prague. Truly a paradise for gentlemen.

    R.e buying new camera

If you can pick up the predecessor to the Canon 350D, the 300D, cheap on ebay I’d reccomend that. All you need then is a 75-300mm zoom and you’re of!

I’m still using my 300D and no plans to replace it. I’m no expert but I’m getting the sort of pics I wanted

Yes, it’s a great shame there are no airworthy Halibags. I’ve always had a soft spot for this aircraft. long story – if I were to have one of these crazy lottery wins of a stupendous amount e.g £17 million I’d be looking to try get one airworthy. Mind you, perhaps I’d need more?!
How much would it cost to put NA337 in the air, bearing in mind the work that has already been done?

Thanks Creosote…I must have seen it (the E-3) around 4 – 4:30 ish..so maybe it was the same one.
I’m so out of touch with modern aviation…after making the above post I found the Waddington website and discovered an RAF aircraft I’d never heard of…the Sentinel! I’m wondering if that’s what I saw in the distance.

Hi folks, just registered although been lurking for a cpl of weeks. I read a few threads about East Kirkby so today I took the day off work and drove down to watch the taxi run. Simply magnificent….never got so close to a lancaster before, loved watching the wingtip going over my head! Why is it that the noise, or rather ‘feeling’, of 4 merlins generates so much emotion in me…I was born almost 30 years after the war ended and yet it felt like the sensation was invoking much older and very powerful memories. Very strange.
Loved mooching round the wreckage in the hangar…I could spend days in there. I urge anyone with even a passing interest in aviation to go watch one of these taxi runs.
