    RE: Please explain!!!…..Is it me?

The thing the bothers me is not immigration (we are all immigrants) but the total lack of control and the total lack of `balls` of the government.

I believe anyone should be allowed in to this in this country but they must undergo vetting. Certain critera must be fullfilled to allow them to stay, if they forfeit these conditions they are deported “without trial” back to whence they come. But what happens now is they cross the border, claim “political asylum” and are then given free reign to dissapear into the system.

We have become a dumping ground for the europe scum which are thrown from their own countries and end up here, this also camoflages the terrorists who can secrete themselves into our society.

If I applied to live in the USA I believe it would be far more difficult than an Islamic terrorist would find comming to the UK.

p.s. as to Blair being similar to Cromwell, goody, we beheaded Cromwell!

RE: So I guess it’s just a matter of ‘when’ the US is going to war

    News just in from CNN.

NATO officials say they have uncovered a substantial hoard of weapons from an (as yet undisclosed) location.

These weapons include bricks, a large metal pole and a box of toothpicks.

The toothpicks are said to have the capability to `take someones eye out` from a distance of `several inches`.

When questioned about the bricks an Iraqi official used the often mooted smoke-screen of decite by saying `Oh they is just rubble`.

Forensic tests on the pole reveal the armament mark of `J.R. Scaffold and Son`, a well known armaments importer, alegedly.

Conclusive proof that Saddam is intending an attack on the west.

NATA also found several rockets and stuff but compared to the Squadron of B52’s being fueled by the US ready to bomb the target (or more accurately some guy with a camel) considered mostly harmless.

When questioned by Saddam he was heard to say `Have you got Bin Laden yet?`. The US have yet to respond.

    Report ends.

    RE: Lock-On Flight Sim

The problem with modern jets sims is you can’t tell when someone is sticking a 9L up yer exhaust.

    “Archer Inbound” anyone?

RE: Display Routines-Fast and Low or Lots of Aeros?

I like to see aircraft flown in context.

I enjoy watching the BBMF because they are a tribute and because I know they will get home safely. I also like them because I like Lancs, Spits and Hurris.

Aeros are okay as long as they are flown with a good margin for error and safety. The Cobra at Biggin came down directly in front of me albeit 500yards away. I watched with a little fear the Hurricane at ledgends who performed slow loops at the M11 end of the runway. Seemed to me to be almost directly over head (my head). If your going to do aeros please do them AWAY from the crowd.

Personally I like aircraft flown in context. Spitfire scramble then Vic formation. Line astern with a weaver. Carrier takeoffs and landings for the Naval types. B17’s and little friends. Bristol Fighter and LVG dog fight over the trenches. Lysander dropping off spies. Swordfish bombing the Bismark. Grumman avenger torpedo attack. P51 ground attack, jumpers for gaolposts etc, etc.

I don’t mind if aeros are not included or if aircraft are flown sedately. Just think what we are all missing…

    P38
    Kingcobra
    Mosquito

They would make a smashing flypast on their own.

RE: What’s the gem for Flying Legends then?

Have to agree about the Spitfires.

One of the best airshows I have been to was the Duxford Spitfire 60th Anniversary and the sight of all those loverly Spits was mouthwatering.

Can’t say that any airplane is a waste of sky either. Don’t particularly like Skyraiders and think they are out of place amongst all the WW2 kit but they are nice planes none the less, but then I think 747’s are nice! Would be nice to have a Skyraider in a scenario with a Phantom and Birddog.

AS the topic starter perhaps this post will put the topic back on track. No whinging please, I have an `airshow whinge` thread for that 🙂

    I want an FW190!

RE: Human Evolution in The Future

You mean to say man is evolving?
I would have said the opposite!

War, Famine, Nuclear Weapons, Poloution, Murder, Rape, Peadophilia.

I think the animals would a lot better without us.

RE: Gravity has a speed !

    Gravity is a constant.
Gravy however is a random unconstant.

The speed at which Gravy falls is governed by many factors. The cheapness of the Gravy boat, the size of the ladel, the clenliness of the table cloth, the expense of the shirt and the criticality of the relatives you have asked around for dinner.

    This can be expressed as;

    gravy=tablecloth/ladle*relative(^shirt)

Of course Gravity comes into play with the speed of the drip.
This is known as the Gravy Gravity Drip Criticality factor.

    HTH.
