    2. Walking around with an offensive wife after the hours of darkness.

    3. All things that politicians agree before election are COMPULSORY after.

    4. Criminals to be placed in the stocks and pelted with rotten fruit.

    5. Any immigrant that commits a crime to be deported immediately.

    6. Making it illegal to own a dog or cat.

    7. Removal of bus lanes.

    RE: Computer Query.

Turn off file and print sharing.
Make sure none of your hard discs are configured as a share.

Then turn off the firewall, you don’t need it, unless you have built your self a webserver of course.

There is no way anyone can gain access to you PC if you do the above. Your at bigger risk from email viruses so make sure you have a good anti virus installed. PC’s have no inbound connections i.e. Telnet, FTP, Apache etc.

Sure the firewall might report to you “someone is running a port scan, you were hit by a malicious ping, xyz tried to access your computer etc”. Let em, they won’t get in. The internet is full of this kind of traffic, it’s unimportant.

Your more likely to find someone has accessed you isp mail account because you picked a password like `fred`. Don’t let em in and they can’t get in!

    RE: Digital photography question

As a digital camera user and a computer bod the question you want to ask yourself is “What size of photo do I want?” and “Will I want to print these pictures out” ?

The reason for these questions is this.

If you resize your photo either to make it smaller or make it larger you will lose quality. Not point in taking large photos if you expect to print 6 x 4 pictures. The downsizing of the image will reduce it’s quality. Try setting your camera to produce the size of image you want. The end result will be of better quality than a resized image. I noticed this with my digital camera. An untouched picture printed with greater quality straight from the camera than a reduced / enlarged photo shop one.

As a rule of thumb take large pictures to display on a PC and maybe smaller ones for printing purposes.

However what ever size you take make sure you burn them to cdr disc as they are dirt cheap and you WILL lose your hard disc!
