Canadian Battle
Somewher, someplace….I have a pic of the Canadian museum Battle having an engine run outside not long ago.
But for the life of me I cannot locate it…….
Someone has a link or a copy ?
Tks
Can you point to….
Where these specs came from ?
Just curious ?
I have never seen 2 compression ratio on DB’s
The engine for the 262….
The engine for the 262….
I do not remember where I read this but…I read that the original engines would sport brand new recommisionned internals with new modern allows.
New blades, bearings, shaft, etc…..
Now that is bound to be a very, very expensive overhaul.
And you are actually right…..
My first language beeing french, this one is easy to explain.
I do translate on the fly when I type.
Example.
A green airplane
In French is:
Un avion vert
Or
A airplane green
We often put the adjective after the word. So I often do that nistake when I translate too fast 😉
Glad you liked the pics
Errrrr barrel roll B17 ?
I mean, do not get me wrong, it can be done.
But is this not instead a 180 degree rotated picture ?
Its all relative
🙂 🙂

Thats the one. So it is privately owned ???
The other complete bear is owned by the museum.
For it being done by fighter rebuilder; they told me its the next one in line here….
As to where here is, I assume POF/FR
I was in Chino a couple of weeks ago.
I was told that the Bear / Gulfhawk is the next in line for re-built.
They just got a hold of lot of extra Bear parts from the now defunct Square One
Which makes me wonder whom owns the other Bearcat currently being re-built in Chino
Did you get a chance to visit their storage area ?
It is a couple of miles from there on a rural road.
To behold……………..6-7 Boly airframes in various degree of completeness and decay.
Also, a lot a various other birds and parts. Like a Lanc wing.
Did you see the nice replica at POF ?

Last I checked, early last year the PBY was still in Gananogue
Yup Olivier, je vais aller refaire un tour, promis et merci encore
Hey Cannuck’s
Olivier, I did not know you had ties to the Fondation……….
I just sat the other day in the most pristine, unrestored RCAF DAK in Edmonton.
It is owned by Bufffalo Airways, on loan. This outfit, at Red Deer in AB
http://www.buffaloairways.com/
Except for the insulation, ALL the original military equipment is Still in the bird.
The owner had kept it for years and is now on loan there.
They where more than nice and let me roam the plane…….you would have been impressed. Not unlike the Gananogue (spelling)PBY…….anyone been there lately ?
