Is it french…?
Excellent thread. I will add some of mine shortly:)
Could you provide another hint? For instance where in Europe (East, West, South north)?
I visited the Finnish Air Force Museum in Tikkakoski this summer and saw the Brewster. They have an excellent web page where you can take a virtual tour here http://www.airforcemuseum.fi/flash.asp?file=2

Very interesting find: Thanks
I had a flight in a test ship at Gelendzhik in 2008 – we flew in formation with RF-32767……
Full story – and more photos – here.
A number of Be-200ChS’s are in service with Russia’s EMERCOM (MChS) – and they have been trialled fighting fires in France, Greece and Portugal – but so far, no firm western orders.
Papa Lima & Jonr – what day did you attend MAKS – the Be-200ChS was in the static on Friday & Sunday when I went….
I agree – it was the worst MAKS I have been to – rotten weather and very poor display.

Very interesting: thanks for sharing
There was some info about this around the 23rd of October, the day of aviation in Brazil. Many thought the announcement would be done on this date but some sources said that the FAB weren’t finished with their evaluation and that the decision would probably be announced in late November.
I believe that it is in tghe best interest of Barsil to prolong a little further the negotiation phase: better conditions cand be obtained
Are there any western built, jet powered amphibious aircraft that could at least match the Be-200?
Not to my knoledge…
Japan did build some amphibious aircraft post-WWII but I don’t think any of them were jet-powered
Malagasy MiG-17F Fresco.
Malagasy was supplied with four MiG-17Fs and eight MiG-21FLs as a part of N.Korean policy to woo Malagasy’s interest away from S.Korean counterpart in 1978.
In those days, Both S and N.Korea were engrossed madly in influence-paddling in the african continent to gain vantage point politically.
A faint trace of N.Korean AF marking can be made out on the rear fuselage.

At first sight seems something British, late 30’s or 40’s…? Am I getting closer???

Perhaps a little side-track, but: speaking of India participation in this project: there were reports, several years ago, of an indigenous Indian fighter (called the MCA???) What was the fate of it…??? There was 3 view of it (supposedly) that showed a general delata , no-tail and no fin configuration.
Does it have any connection with PAK-FA????
