I can see Finland doing this over buying another fighter (most likely the Gripen). European budgets are not there for fighter purchases in this decade. I also would not be surprised at all if the RCAF ditched the F-35 and went with the F/A-18E/F.
Syrian rebels used Chinese made FN-6 MANPAD to shoot down Mi-17(?) yesterday, but question is where did get it? Officially Chinese have not sold any of them to Syrian government.
I hope that rebels had only one FN-6 they bought from black markets, but I doubt we are that lucky, i’m not going to board a plane what is going to fly near middle-east any time soon… ship or train for me, thanks.
Pics from a KJ-2000 documentary. I don’t know much when it comes to radars, so do they show anything interesting here? I think this could be first time we see the radar of the system.
