This UCAV/UAV is not a very high value technology. Israel value of defense exports have fallen and UAVs are only 10% of exports and that due to India
I doubt that because Europeans and Russians haven’t managed to build anything like Reaper.
That comment makes absolutely no sense… Just because European countries see no need to set up ucav production lines when they can acquire what they want anyway does not equate with stagnation. If you are a tiny bit curious, I am sure that you can google petit duc, neuron, taranis, barracuda, …
As for shameful, I agree that bombing the crap out of wedding parties is very shameful for a large continent, ok, country.
It does equate stagnation when small country like Israel can produce better military equipment than defense firms of a large continent like Europe. Countries in Europe can fly as many “ducks” they want to but it does mean nothing without actually production… it’s actually funny because many people seem to think that Europe is strong.
Iraqi CH-4’s destroying ISIS targets.
How high, how fast and how far does it fly?
To the moon and beyond of course.
Here best part of the old BBC documentary from 1981. it was true then and it’s true now.

so you are training on part time basis with 30 years old F-15s. Nato in 2020 will be far less capable and less important than what it has now.
NATO is more capable than Russia and in future even more so. Russia is already turning into backwards nation but then again becoming a North Korea II seems to be Tsar Putin’s master plan.
I love these charts made by people who haven’t even touched real thing.. And I also love the high scores in the mission effectiveness of the F-35, while the real aircraft can barely take off and land and there is practically no mission it can safely perform..
Yeah okay.
how exactly can Sweden/Finland cooperate with Nato. Nato membership does not mean you can buy weopons cheaper.
Finland is increasing training with United States… first with F-15’s and soon US is sending land forces for the very first time. I wouldn’t be surprised if both Finland Sweden join NATO before 2020.
There is absolutely no reason to go for F-35-only force. But the rhetoric opposing such move is strong since that would mean greatly reduced export sales for Lockheed.
It’s cheaper to have only one type of plane in service instead of training pilots to fly different places, etc.
Is there any reason to go for Eurofighter/Gripen/Rafale only force?
Newbuild c/d then? Btw imo.its better to have a lift/low end supersonic fighter alongside a small number of f-35, rather than only having a small number of f-35. Those supersonic fa-50is more than capable of air policing/cas in national airspace. You don’t want to waste precious f-35 airframe hours chasing unresponsive airliners or pounding hiluxes do you?
C/D wasn’t good enough against Hornet in 90’s and you think Finnish air force is seeking a downgrade now?
If you try to give FA-50 to Finnish pilots all they say is “This thing is a turkey, get rid off it”.
I don’t see any reason European countries cannot go for a cost effective hi-lo fighter combination of say 1 sqn of f-35 with 2-3 sqn of gripen/fa-50 etc. Surely it would be much cheaper than going for an all f-35 fleet if they could afford it. In reality an all f-35 fleet would mean a very reduced fighter fleet compared to what they have currently.
That only works if Gripen E is cheaper but it’s not. FA-50 is more or less a training fighter.
Videos from different manufacturers what were send to mod.
You’d think it would include enhancements found on the crashed sample in Abbottabad.
I think it’s better to copy something that didn’t crash.

Those are literally home made bombs.
the problem is China can barely have 1 aircraft carrier with no operational strike fleet on it.
Transport/Tanker/bomber fleet is not optimum. Alot of Chinese relationship with West and Arab world. i am not just pointing to trade. China ability to bomb Middleast is minimumIt will take years if not decades for Iran to get its airforce in shape. it is not worth the money to spend on it for short term.
The more business and money Iran give to Russia. The more decisively Russia will deal with Turks/Arab and at the end with Israel. to the point that these people will have to sell all there assets in West and raise even Oil/Gas prices to fund wars. Think over it. how much Turkey is spending by putting all its troops in Syria border.
Same can be said about Russia.
Funny if you think that Russia can actually handle all Arab countries and Turkey and Israel. Your posts become funnier by the day… next you claim that RuAf can handle USAF without any problems.
thanks for the (on topic) reply
so if Assad can succesfully conquer the area, it will put stress on ISIS in Iraqand what about Turkish SAM units?
agreed
compared to the F-22, it’s technology would be at least 10 years younger
even without the Pentagon’s budget, such a difference in age will always result in certain advantages newer technology has
I’d guess the Su-35 has tech that’s only matched by the F-35, and in some was even surpasses that of the F-35
I hope that you are joking.
