Eric, thank you very much for your report on this lovely little museum. It certainly seems to deserve a visit!
The Fokker S-13 you mentioned has been on the inventory of the aerospace faculty of the TH Delft, today known as Delft University of Technology, in the 50’s. I lived nearby and as an aviation enthousiast regularly tried to catch a glimpse of the aircraft collection in the university. One of my neighbors was P.A. van den Broeke, who was the caretaker of the aircraft collection of the university in those years. He also had been the mechanic on KLM’s first flight to the Dutch East Indies in 1924 in Fokker F.VII H-NACC.

Thank you very much for your information Andrew. I didn’t know about the other Bolingbroke at Duxford!
No it has been completed as a Mk.1 a few years ago and is a regular flyer. Many photos of this beautiful aircraft are to be found on this forum.

Little Nellie at Old Warden September 2016

Could this heavy crop of one of my pictures be any help in identifying the manufacturer of Gannet props?

Nice to see a Trislander in the Duxford collection!
I remember seeing the prototype Trislander G-ATWU, constructed from the second Islander prototype, at Bembridge in September 1970.

A few pictures of the Dutch DC-2. I haven’t seen it flying recently.

Lovely Dakota in that Aer Lingus livery. Will it get a true Irish registration eventually? Would be nice.
Thunderbirds 50 years ago!
Excellent shots!!
Just for comparison and fun a few pictures of the Thunderbirds at Le Bourget in 1967. Photo’s taken with an Asahi Pentax S1a and 135mm preset aperture manual tele and handhold meter on Ilford FP3 film.

Excellent pictures; very well done!
Street view in Google Maps is your friend ……..

In my collection of aviation related “flight covers”, I have two examples flown on the special Christmas Mail Flight by PH-AIS “Snip” (Captain Jan Hondong) to the Dutch “West Indies” in December 1934.

I don’t think that the man on the right of the trio is Captain Iwan Smirnoff. Maybe the officer on the right is…..?

Although I like the weathered look of the Buchon, I have the feeling that it has been overdone a bit too much ……..
