    Hi Ian

Yes I have the Operation Record Books, no appendix though if they were attached to it, have been in touch with a number of Veterans of both squadrons in the past, but maybe someone holds any photographs or have been in touch with Veterans or Next of Kin

There is a good article on the Hamilcar’s construction in the December 15 1944 edition of The Aeroplane (Phillip, I have this on my computer so you can have a copy) but I suppose Phillip is more intersted in this sort of thing.

Which one of the AP plates I’ve been using to identify Hamilcar parts held by the Museum of Army Flying at Middle Wallop.

    Would be most welcome thanks

I recently bought 7 nice photographs of the hamilcar and for the moment have 6 articles about it, but want to trace more about GAL and the building

Thanks mmitch, yes I know the book as I know both authors.

Regarding the chalk numbers, from memory I can’t tell you which ones, but it seems that only the even or oneven loading list survived sometimes some loading list with chalk numbers turn up in the National Archives in Kew.

In the book are two so called glider cards with serial number and what happened to both the gliders.
