Nearly as bad as “Air Rage”. Worst ever!
“Keep a heading of 560 degrees…”
“No, don’t lower the flaps until we’ve landed!”
Ugh.
How strange, when the “normal” rotation for a vehicle engine is clockwise from the front.
Eh? Every engine I’ve ever worked on (and that’s quite a few) rotate anti-clockwise as viewed from the front.

P. 1052 ?
Ah, perfection !

Cracking site Lee – a real credit to you.

And still, everyone overlooks the wonderful sea hawk. Hawker’s first jet, a sidney camm design – what heritage!
With swept wings it would have been even more beautiful.

I just shorted out my keyboard with drool…
Time to put wifeys other kidney on Ebay… 🙂

The mental image of you lot wearing leotards, rollers in hand, prancing around the aircraft is one I did not enjoy 😉
Is Rob’s bromide for the safety of the local wildlife then? 🙂
Roy.
TT & Steve-T – very many thanks, the more pics the better! The warnings plates on our seats have faded completely so it would be helpful to see what they _should_ say.
Richard – have replied to your PM, very many thanks indeed.
Roy.
Dear God, I can only assume there is something akin to rocket fuel in the coffee at MAM. Don’t you guys ever stop? Can’t wait to see all this stuff first hand, and if I find out all these shiny paint jobs were merely photo-shopped…. 😉
And yes Rob – I’ll bring my overalls !
Roy.
Very many thanks TT – they could be very very helpful.
Of particular interest are the sides of the head box (MB warning plates etc) and the general layout of the lanyards and myriad of clips!
Many thanks,
Roy.
Munitions always reminds me of the old Bob Newhart bomb disposal sketch.
“Now one wire is kind of a bluish grey, the other is a kind of greyish blue….”
Mailbox sorted.
Vol.3’s aren’t ~that~ exciting unless you’re seriously a pro-anorak wearer and have a thing for part numbers! Now a Vol.1 on the other hand… ooh, pass the tissues. 😉
Roy.
Fan-bloody-tastic. I can think of quite a few museums that could learn a lot from MAM. You guys have obviously got your paint skills down to a fine art – and outdoors too! The aircraft look wonderful.
See you in August 🙂
Roy.
I seem to recall hearing that the Mig-15 used a blagged version of the Nene engine. Is this true?
Roy.
Glad you are enjoying my misery 😉 There will be more pictures online soon – time has been a something of a premium lately!
