Our formula student kiddies headed off down to Brunty today. I’ve given them all the gen on the LPG etc with strict instructions to get lots of decent pics 😉
Sadly, other committments prevent me going with them this time.
Hope you have a great weekend Andy – what a triumph the LPG is.

Ah, thanks Mick. Nice to know it’s in safe hands.
I thought it was moved around the back out of public view?
I can really understand why you’d want to be there with him as he explored old haunts but at least you got him there – and in great style too! Bravo Sir! I’m sure he’s a very happy, and very proud Dad right now.

Forumet är internationellt, och man kan väntar alla språk på den!
(This is an international Forum and you have to expect to see many different languages). In any case, I believe that French is still the language of diplomacy, and that was a very diplomatic post!
Merci, but sadly – the diplomacy will be lost here. For those who didn’t find a translation, I simply remarked that “Some people will never be happy no matter what you do”.
Now come on Rob, spill the beans on that paint method… brush, roller or spray? I’ve heard wonderful stories about using 2-pack paint with a roller, I tried it – and it was awful. Please do share.

Quelques personnes ne sont jamais heureuses, n’importe ce que vous .
*sigh*
Something that good just HAS to be fine Martin!
I’m sure your father will be tickled pink – and so will you 🙂
Have a really great day.

Aviation is a big bottomless pit that we are constantly throwing money into!
Hence the old aviation axim:
“The only way to make a small fortune in aviation, is to start with a big one”.

Could the low light levels be to prevent fading? An attempt to reduce costs? Or maybe just badly planned and now labelled ‘atmosphere’.
Frankly, I dont really care what colour they are painted, as long as they are being preserved
Except for the Pukey green Jaguar at Brunty!
I’ve heard from a few people (far better qualified than I) that museums often prefer an aircraft without engines to help with the weight problems.
Roy.
Timing! Wifey just called to say it has arrived safely this morning 🙂
She won’t get a sensible word out of me tonight… Many thanks Nigel, it is appreciated.

We’ve got a new moderator?! :diablo:
From the first time I worked on an aircraft I developed a deep and sincere respect for all ground crew. I only fart around on a hobby basis, to work on these for real and under ‘inclement’ conditions must be a real sod. I’m not ex RAF, nor would I have been if born 20 years earlier – far too much discipline for me! I would however, have loved to have seen a lot more of the aircraft flying that these days we can only see in a museum.
I do have very fond memories of seeing flying mosquito, hunter, vulcan et al as a child many years ago. Things always look rosier in retrospect!

Some people are never satisfied. I can’t get to Duxford to see this all first hand but I certainly got very warm fuzzies just looking at the pics posted here.
A once in a lifetime shot – fan-bloody-tastic!
